Now that the temperature has dropped to 4 - 5 celsius i notice a lot more crackling noises coming from passenger front window. Is this normal??? I have heard of these problems from others but there must be answers.

    Thanks

Funny I have a strange noise similar to what you’re talking about in my truck. Mine is present in any temperature and when I have the drivers side window cracked about 2 inches. And it only occurs over rough roads and bumps. It’s something in the weatherstripping because I can re-create it by grabbing the top of the glass and wiggling it. I’ve thought about taking it in but sometimes I don’t wanna fix what’s not broken.

True, you take it to them and it can be made worse. But the dealerships love to bill Toyota head office. I have heard it is the weatherproofing on the bottom of the window underneath the hood. Maybe there is a solution out there.
