I have a brand new 2019 Crewmax Limited TRD Off Road.

I wanted to get the bumpers, grill, mirrors, door handles, etc all line-x coated in black to get rid of the chrome. (I may go further and have the body line-x coated in a color as well!)

I am concerned after reading the owner manual (yes I read 600+ pages!) that doing the rear bumper will mess up the blind spot monitor system. (They specifically say don't touch it, don't paint it, don't put any stickers on it, etc).

Has anyone had experience doing this? Any advice? I really want to get rid of the chrome.

(Note: the rear bumper is already color matched cement grey like the body, so doing the rear bumper isn't so much about getting rid of the chrome as it is matching the look if I get the body sprayed).

Are their easier ways to get rid of the chrome look on the rest of the vehicle? (mainly grill, handles, mirrors, front bumper?

    Thanks all.

Cant say that it will or will not cause an issue however I swapped my chrome out on the limited I had without issues. I would say that as long as the sonar sensors are not interefered with then shouldnt be an issue.

In prcess of writing this where I forsee an issue is that LINE X is substantially thicker than paint so it may disturb the sensors and trick it into thinking something is close to sensor.

Might want to test it or wait to see if anyone else has attempted
