    Alo all,

Currently in the process of purchasing a 2011 Tundra DC 6.5ft bed 5.7L TRD Offroad with 90k miles. (And deeply researching the AIP issue, mpg, etc.)

    Currently Toys:
    2003 4Runner w/ 160k which has been through hell
    2003 Sequoia (Parents coach)

Former Toyotas in order from earliest to most recent:
1986 Toyota Pickup w/ 22r regular cab short bed 2wd
1990 Toyota Pickup w 3.0L V6. Drove for a while. Then switched back to the '86
    2004 Toyota Matrix Base
    2004 Tacoma Prerunner v6.
    2009 Tacoma DC 4wd Manual

Hopefully we'll have the 2011 in our driveway this weekend. Diving in deep and planning on making a mode to install the base blocking plate for the AIP with the pump "still there" so it looks stock. Have welder. Will Work.

And the driveway has been anointed! First step was to bang out the tow hitch. The PO put a nice Curt in the receiver dry. And then never touched it for years. A few minutes w/ PB blaster soak and a 4.lb engineering hammer got it out. I'll let the oil soak in over night, then start some wire wheel and rust reformer process on anything I see around the tow hitch. Undercoating aptmt is next week (to give me some time to clean and descale.)

Overall clean. The rear brakes are original rotors and are junk. Fronts have either been replaced or are really really good for orginal. I have a set of EBC green stuff pads and rotors for the rear and EBC green pads for the front (I'll roll with the existing front rotors. )

Tires are LTX M/S's, which I know and partially like. I had a horrible experience with them on a 2004 pre-runner 2wd in the ice. They're around 60k miles on them, so will need replacing in the next year. For 60k on them, they do actually look pretty stinking good.

The kick-down step is mostly frozen, but I've got pb-blaster + a bunch of grease working its way in now. I don't really intend to use it much, but it's a handy piece of kit. I'll tear it apart and get it working well when I have a chance.

Overall, the radio frankly sucks compared to the Pioneer 2din I paid $100 for and installed in my 4runner. I'll probably be tossing the stock head unit at some point.

Looking forward to driving to work on Monday, and grabbing a camper next week and moving it around to get it cleaned up and washed. (One more camping trip before winter!)

Pics inco when I get under. Some weird things. Some questions. Some ugly and good.

All in all, a completely dealer-only serviced 90k truck which wasn't really kept as clean as it should have been... but runs well. I like er.
