Hey guys, brand new to this forum, so don't skewer me just yet :)

I thought I was the only one with this issue, but based on what I read here, not the case. I have the 2016 limited tundra and these seats are BRUTALLY stiff and uncomfortable. Like others, I realized after the fact the both the cloth / SR5 seats and the Platinum seats are far more comfortable - a significant difference, not just fluff.

The Platinum seat covers are softer, AND have more padding. The Limited seat covers are more like "pleather / plastic". I did have an Auto seat specialist do some work on it, and it's a bit better but still needs work. He said he will basically replace the existing cover with a softer material, but more importantly - he will make it like a pillow top mattress or recliner - make it far softer than it is. Could be $500+ but right now - I dread sitting in that damn seat!

I've got a 2018 Limited and noticed that the leather on the headrests and seat sides is very soft yet the seating and back surface are a bit plasticy feeling. As far as the cushion goes, I'm quite pleased. I've been trying a leather conditioner hoping it would help. No joy. If I wanted to go through the trouble and expense of replacing the covers, I'd definitely find one of those seat covers that allowed cooling. Swamp ass is a terrible thing.

Welcome Steve. I've got a limited so I can't contribute 'cause I need to focus on suspension upgrades.:D

No doubt you came across my thread on how awful these seats are. Please post up specifics if you make changes that are helpful.

So far no seat complaints from me in my 2018 Limited but thanks for getting in my head!
