Hello Bob. I am not familiar with this company but doing a google search leads me to conclude that Smiths Medical manufactures medical devices, correct? I am more in line with application support within the Healthcare Environment. @MikeCim209 does more of IT Project Management but I'll let him answer. It's great to know we have fellow Tundra brothers in the same field. Kudos to you ... I always admired our network engineers!

    Are you located in Socal?

Good Stuff Ron! I help a friend with his business of brokering airplane parts. I am amazed the paper trail every aeronautical piece down to the screw needs to have. Its very impressive the security there is on airplane parts!

I'm in the other SC, South Carolina. That's right, medical devices though that's only one division of the group I support. Smiths Group is who I work for.

Great work! Wish you were closer, we are in need of a garage here. Our house is from 1950, has a narrow shared driveway with a wide extension at the bottom that we recently had redone, weird thing is that people from that era drove land yahts so most homes converted the small attached garages into living areas and the detached ones became outdoors storage, most people here dont use their garage as one, it blows me away

Thank you for the compliments! Lots of people in Texas convert their garages to an extra bedroom or bonus room. I’m not a fan of that since I need a garage for all my tools and I need a place to work in.

I logged 48 hours toward my private license when I was in high school. Somehow went into electrical engineering over continuing on. Don't get me wrong, I like what I do but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think what if...

I used to have a roommate that had his private license. We both worked in Charlotte but were from Knoxville. He bought a Cessna 172 and we would fly from Charlotte to Knoxville on the weekends. It was a lot of fun but haven't had the opportunity since I transferred back home permanently.

I have a cousin by marriage that flies for FedEx now after serving in the Gulf War flying A-10s. Just hearing his stories about what they go through in the Air Force to become a pilot is wild. I could never pass all the physical tests.

@GlobalGuy, cool job you have for sure!!

I probably last posted in here a few years ago. My job hasn't changed but my employer has. I'm still a software engineer but I get to work from home since the main office is a thousand miles away.

Been down and out cleaning up this job....24 days straight. Had a few other workers come and smash a bunch of work out so we could basically tell the contractor to take a hike.
