For those who understand this, I jealous of where you live.... For others, it's commonly referred to as a ditch but from where I was born in idaho, they call it that....

Basically, I use the truck as probably most people do, daily driver with the occasional need for hauling or pulling. I plan to take it out west next year for hunting and will need to overcome the terrain. Also nice to be able to help people during bad snowstorms (and enjoy playing in the snow).

Been reading a lot of forums and such on tundras, neat community. I recently purchased my standard stock CM Tundra Platinum. Happy with it thus far. Do have some things I would like to improve; lift, tires/wheels, sound system, and a minor creature features. Am still reading about this stuff, but appreciate any support.

My current tires are factory so I'm only a few thousand miles away from new ones so I'm focused on improving that area first. Goal would be to lift (I think a 3/1) with add a leaf to keep payload and towing up to par. Been reading a lot about Toytec Boss but open to others. Want the end look to be something that looks like that was how the truck was designed for a blend of daily driving mixed with utilitarian but tasteful.

Appreciate the forum and the work and help by all.

Crap, meant to add that I want a setup that helps me not get stuck in the barrow pits...so much for being witty and wrapping things together...ha.

Don't have a pic yet...just the plain Jane Super White Platinum.

Noticed a lot of Texans on here. I'll be in DFW area this next week. Will have to take note of the Tundra vs others ratio and how it compares to Iowa.

    Welcome to the site.

Well you already have the fastest color, no other mods should be necessary. :D

ToyTec 2.5 BOSS Radflow system usually fits most people’s needs. Check out King, Fox, ICON, etc as well.

Tires are hard to recommend depending on what people are willing to live with on a daily basis. For instance, I put decent Michelin’s on my trucks, and carry strap chains just in case I find myself in some nasty weather/terrain.

Thanks Chris. Toytec BOSS system is kind of my baseline based on what people have said. Nitto's, Duratrac, and similar have my attention at this time. However, am a little concerned about noise given that the Tundra cab wasn't as quiet as my 2010 F150.

Any concerns with Treadwright or similar? Willing to spend money if it's the right thing to do (IE leaf vs block for towing), but if one can save, why not?

These are some other brands to look at as well.

I don’t use retread tires, so I don’t have an opinion either way.

My thread decoder ring says for you to keep your truck exactly how you have it. Do not change a thing. Go back OEM when replacements are needed.

Welcome from eastern CO! The Boss or Radflo setups would likely work well for what you’re trying to do, I have the Radflo 2.5’s on front with Boss 2.0 shocks in the rear and shackles. @Toytec Lifts is a vender here and they’re always very helpful.

I grew up in an area where we called em barrow pits too
