What’s the offset on those? Might just go your route. I’ve got 18x9 +12.

Just had to do the normal stuff...removed the front little flap that is forward the front tires, push the fender liner forward and flatten the front mud flaps a bit. Just used a roller and heat gun.

I went with JBA UCA, can't beat the price. I'm using them with my dirty 7's.

Aftermarket upper control arms are not "needed" for a tundra with 3 inch front lift. The reason to consider uca is basically comfort with adjustability/alignment and longevity of stock parts.

With a lift, the stock alignment numbers may not actually be ideal for each individual set up.

Alignment specs can be within factory specs for your specific lift/wheel/tire set up but still have drivability issues such as dartiness in your steering or unpredictable reactions in the steering when driving rough roads or expansion joints.

If you're lifting without plans for offroading at speed or significant articulation you could always lift and try it with factory uca and see how it drives.

I will say that the more research you do yotull notice a lot of folks saying that aftermarket uca was one of the best mods they did.

Spc vs high end uniball. This consideration for the tundra seems to be six of one half a dozen of another for guys that wanna lift without plans to do heavy offroading/articulation.

    Your mileage might vary.

My knowledge base comes from 5th gen 4runners and 3rd gen tacomas.

Minor changes in suspension components are amplified the larger and heavier the vehicle is.

I went with the Zone offroad HD UCA's on my 2015 crewmax could not be any happier. Alignment was a breeze, greasable, serviceable, and truly heavy duty.

I agree, UCA is not required for lift 3" (preferably 2.5" max) or less. I got the UCA for higher caster number, outside OEM spec. Also, the JBA is stronger than OEM, and the ball joint for the JBA has better articulation range.

Another awesome thing to be said for JBA is that right now Marlin is basically a one man operation. He has fabricators, but he personally handles all questions, comments, problems, and warranty issues.

Example. JBA realized they had a problem with the powdercoating on their balljoints. Some showed rust in just a year. They changed their process to Cerakote. When they did this Marlin offered the new balljoints for free to anyone that wanted to swap theirs out. I took him up on the offer and spent 30 minutes per side to end up with the new Cerakote'd joints. He even payed all shipping.

I'm not normally a cheerleader for a company unless they really impress me.

I was looking at JBA, but didn't like the taper pin spacer required to makes those work. And the SPC ball joints rely on to many mechanical connection for my taste. Was thinking about the Camburg ball joint UCA's as I had them on my Tacoma but the Zones are twice the size, a little cheaper, and accomplish the same thing. I am running with about 2.75 degrees positive caster on each side all other numbers are exactly where the should be, not with in parameters but exact. I did the alignment myself took the time to do everything.

Please tell me about this spacer?

I installed mine in my driveway and did the balljoint swap to the new Cerakote joints as well. I don't know what spacer you're speaking of. I thought the whole setup was very well put together.

When I spoke to JBA, they informed me that the taper angle of the ball joint post is the same between the 1 ton GM ball joint they use and the tundra however, the taper post is longer which is why they use a taper spacer/shim. Shown in this photo between the UCA and the Spindle. It's the silver ring which makes up the difference. Is under compression which is great, but your overall length of the ball joint taper stud is 1 inch longer than factory.

There is no such spacer on my setup, or any of the other JBA's on here that I've seen. That looks like an early JBA BJ as well.

My balljoint stem slid all the way into the spindle and tightened down just as OEM. There is a small 1/4" thick washer, but this is simply to hold the grease boot tight against the balljoint. That picture is 100% not what I have on my truck. I'm sure other JBA owners can confirm this as well.

The attached pic is not my truck, mine is posted in a thread around here somewhere. But this is exactly what mine looks like, this is on a 2nd gen Tundra. Not sure that pic you attached is a Tundra...

That's awesome if they changed it since I was shopping around. They make great products. It may be for 3rd gen only who knows. Either way you go when it comes to Tundra UCA's the factory ones are stamped metal and are $250 plus to replace since you have to purchase them to get new ball joints.

I'm looking at 3" lift and UCAs and have been leaning towards to the SPCs due to the alignment flexibility. Has anyone had alignment issues with the Camburg or the Zone UCAs?

Yeap that looks way better then what I was described when looking at them. Still happy with my decision but those look just as good.

My main reason for not going with the SPC or LR UCA's. I didn't like the idea of there being another point of adjustment, something to fail, something to come loose. But I also didn't have faith in any of my alignment shops actually being able to grasp the concept of how to use this additional adjustment.

With the JBA's it's simple, they have 3 degrees of caster built in. Alignment techs can go about their merry way without having a meltdown.

I know this is a older thread, but didn’t want to start another UCA thread.

Does anyone have experience with these, I think thay are pretty new. I have a 17 Pro with the stock pro suspension and 1’ CB shim. I live in New Jersey so winters can get back lots of road salt. I have read through a shit ton UCA threads and understand the pros and cons of other units on the market. I like these becuae of the greasable ball joint and dust cap. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

New member and sorry for the thread resurrection but here goes
I have a 2007 SR5 4x4. Been running a Skyjacker 3 inch lift with 275/70s on the stock rims for some time now. Just recently got BFG 35s with Icon 17” rims. Got a BCM to fit them. Problem is the toe is maxed out and getting pre mature wear on outside. Alignment guy is legit and does off road trucks all the time. Will getting zone UCAs fix my alignment issue?

I bought SPC tubulars a few years back. The weld cracked about 1 month in. I’ll never do SPC again.
