Opinion on fixing tundra lean

Wanted to get some feedback from you guys.

Current setup:
Kings front and rear - stock UCA

I have about a 0.50” lean. Also about a 0.25” rake between passenger front and rear.

Opinion #1:
I think I want the front to sit 0.25” higher than rear, just in case my King’s settle more. (Really hate the way truck rake looks)

Or

Adjust it to be dead level.

Opinion #2:
Option 1) 0.50” coach builder shim left side and adjust the coils the remaining 0.25”/ leave it. Add one 0.50” shim right side or just adjust the coil 0.25” to be dead level.

I know.. confusing post, but I think you guys get the idea.

 

Your kings are adjustable. You should be able to adjust your level w/o a shim by adjusting preload on you coils.

 

Yup, I know that. I’m asking if I should use shims along with preload for desired height or just use preload. I’m concerned about ride quality.

Also asking if I should have front and rear at the exact leveled height or raise the front 0.25” higher than the rear.

 

Don’t know why you’d intentionally raise the front higher than the rear, especially when you can adjust it to keep it perfectly level...

 

Why use shims when your coilovers are adjustable. It won’t affect ride whatsoever......we ARE talking about half an inch...(that’s what she said)

 

I think your numbers are so close that the adjustment won't have a noticeable effect on ride quality.

 

Great, thank you. That’s the answer I was looking for. Didn’t want to sacrifice ride quality for looks, that’s why I was contemplating shims.
