ADS front shock install?

    How the hell do you get the LCA to drop low enough to get the shock in place? I have taken off the sway bar and literally sat on the wheel and it just will not drop far enough to get the bottom of the shock in place.

    You have to loosen the cam eccentrics for the alignment. The two bolts where the lower a arm attaches. You will need a big ass breaker bar. If you were swapping stock height for stock height shocks you wouldn’t need to, but since you are increasing the lift you must. Loosen the nuts, not the bolt.I marked where mine were at so that I could have it close enough to drive to the alignment shop.

    Yeah that would’ve helped. But I did it all by myself. Luckily I’m a big guy. Almost gave myself a fucking hernia.

    At least I gave you the torque specs in that PDF I gave you. I didn’t want to have to adjust mine but it’s kind of the nature of the lift.

    Lol we tried 240 (me) and 275 (buddy). Didn't work. Gonna head up to HD to see if I can find a pry bar that will work.

    One of mine I had to stand on the breaker bar and bounce it. I know it’s not safe but I did it anyways LOL

    Well... I'm stuck. No pry bar I have will fit anywhere to get leverage. They're all either too short or the head is too wide to fit anywhere useful. Don't have a 24mm socket/wrench to mess w/the cam bolts and even if I did I'd have to put the UCA back on in order to get leverage on the two 22mm lower ball joint bolts. The f'n thing is fighting me at every turn.

    I’m not the strongest guy. So I had to use a long cheater bar coupled with the tube handle from the floor jack to get enough leverage to loosen those nuts.

    Yeah, the “cheater” bar I used was one with a narrow enough handle that I could fit the tube handle from the floor jack over it. The other one I had is the kind with the thick handle, which I’m guessing is the kind you have. Will a 2” diameter steel fence post tube fit over yours? If so, try that for added leverage.

    Spoke too soon - woot! Finally found a combo that worked. Used a piece of steel bar supported in the middle by my piece of breaker bar steel extension to keep it from bending. Had to literally stand on the damn thing to get the shock in.
