    hey guys,

The night before I installed sound matting in my truck, it rained heavily. When I pulled the door panels off the doors I noticed that the inside of the doors were wet. You could see water drops on the inside of the plastic that covers the door. When I removed the door speakers, each speaker had a good amount of water on them.... which is very concerning. Is it normal for water to get inside the door from rain? If it is not normal, what is the fix?

you can see the water drops in this pic:

    thanks,

I haven’t been inside these doors yet but there is always going to be a small amount of water that gets down in them at the window weatherstripping. Make sure the drain holes are not blocked. Make sure the plastic is sealed back up nice.

This is normal as the weatherstripping is not a perfect seal at the base of the window.

100% normal. almost all OEMs have water management inside the doors.
It's cheaper and easier to redirect / channel water than make it waterproof.
