    Family,

Call it what you may, but, Toyota Tundras are the very best made, reliable, and quality pickup trucks in the world today! With all the chatter about the one or two problems that we have with our Tundras, it's nowhere compared to Ford's, Dodge's, and Chevy's. Be very thankful for what you have.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/ford-to-recall-f-150-models-for-seat-belt-equipment-issue-1536238533

Ford Motor Co. F -0.63% is recalling about two million pickup trucks after it received reports of a seat-belt equipment malfunction that could cause smoke or fire, marking a setback for its top-selling F-Series product line that generates the bulk of its profit.

The Michigan-based auto maker said Thursday the recall is for F-150 vehicles between the model years 2015 through 2018. The vehicles were built at plants in Missouri and Michigan.

Ford said devices that automatically tighten passenger seat belts, known as pretensioners, “can generate excessive sparks when they deploy” and that it knows of 23 total reports of smoke or fire in North America, the bulk of which took place in the U.S.

Watching this now on the 11pm news. I belong on some other forums (not Ford ones, god no). As soon as I mention Tundras are more reliable, F150 guys who are there too are on me like a bag of dicks about my crappy payload, dinosaur engine, low tech blah blah blah. Does not bug me one bit, I couldn't be happier driving my Tundra every day, not a single problem all year, after year.

I forgot to mention no word of a lie, 2 days ago, my friend at work showed me a pic of an F150 on fire, and it was coming out of the open driver door too! Hmmm

Crash and burn. Is that really the official F150 slogan?

It's denial! All Ford, Dodge, Nissan, and Chevy truck owners are intimidated by Toyota's trucks!! They know who we are and what we represent (value, reliability, & quality). They don't bother me either. Tundra/Toyota for life:amen:

It certainly seems like that. They actually recall hundreds of thousands vehicles every year! Then, they claimed that they are better at making pickup trucks and SUVs, so they decided that they won't make anymore cars (except for Mustangs and some other crap). But, if they claim to be so good at making pickup trucks, why do they recall millions of them every year??? Go figure.

Just got sent this, different F150 last week, north of Toronto. The guy who took the pic isn't trolling, he drives a Ford Focus.

This guy did not choose the fire suit option in his F150. Pity the fool!

"Ford's investigation found that some front seat belt pretensioners can generate excessive sparks when they deploy," the company stated. These sparks could cause a fire in the insulation or carpet, Ford added.
