Is this just a diesel Colorado/Canyon or something new entirely?

Two glaring things wrong with this:

    1. It's a mid-size truck.
    2. It's a Chevy.

The diesel in these has been out for about a year now I think. My aunt has one of these and in August we went camping and it blew the oil cooler hose, left her stranded 5hrs from home with her camper. Truck was an 2018 and 9800miles...ouch!

Yep, I think for 2019 you are able to get that grille as an option on them now.

I send this to her every so often to remind her she shouldn't of traded her 2015 tacoma with 34k trouble free miles in on the Colorado.

It does look better with that grill. The placement on the rear shocks have always been a problem for me.

That's exactly what happened! You can see the oil lines on that pic on the road from where she leaked, dipstick didn't even show a drop of oil in that thing. I crawled under because she said her DIC flashed low oil pressure and I couldn't believe they use plastic fittings there, what a joke.

I really don’t see a point in this thing. If you’re going to buy a diesel use the thing for its purpose. What the hell are you going to do with a diesel that can only pull what a Runner pulls? 5000 lbs.
    Weak..

I'll stay with the Tacoma! It is evolving slowly, but, it's the best bang for the buck. Besides, I saw a new Toyota Tacoma commercial on tv earlier. The commercial had Chuck Norris (for all you Kung FU Fans), signing a desert sand color Tacoma.......authenticating the strength and durability of the truck :)

Not exactly good fuel economy numbers IMHO. Nice torque numbers though, better than the diesel 3/4 ton truck I learned to drive on-road with (‘93 GM 6.2L)

The fuel economy is a little depressing isn’t it?

Why go through all that hassle for that?

The Zr2 is a bad ass off-road machine. Make no mistake about that.

If Toyota ups their game with the Pro they could cancel out anything ford, Chevy, or dodge in the performance department.
