2010 Tundra HID headlight problem

TRD Supercharger, TRD Big Brake kit, MotoMetal wheels, Undercover Tonneau with dual swing out saddle bag tool boxes.

I have a friend who is having electrical problems affecting his HID headlights and blinkers. Could this possibly be due to a bad ground somewhere or is this a common problem with HIDs? He says they work most of the time but last night he had to drive home from the airport with no headlights or blinkers. Stealership evidently didn't fix the problem.
