I want to lift my 18' CM. Gonna go with bilstiens and was told by a truck shop 5100s in the back would give me a 1" lift. Is this correct? Everyone seems to be using shackles and he never mentioned or quoted them. I want a 2" lift in the front and a 1" to 1-1/2" in the back to maintain some rake. I'm pretty sure I need shackles but wanted to ask the pros.

Rear shocks wont provide any lift. To achieve lift, you have several options: replace entire leaf pack, add-a-leaf, shackles, or blocks. Blocks would be the least desirable.

Thanks. If I go the shackle route I'll get CB or toytec. How about leaf pack recommendations?

Icon, Deaver, Alcan or have a local shop rebuild/custom make you a set. Going with a aftermarket set of leaf packs may still require the use of aftermarket shackles.

Check the Toytec website. Pretty sure I saw the new Icon leaf pack on there as well as Deaver.

Deaver has two different Tundra spec packs: K-37 and U748 which offer different load capabilities.

Both Deaver and Alcan offer a custom pack based on your requirements. You would have to provide loaded axle weights for them to make you a pack.

The new Icon pack looks pretty solid. It offers different load capabilities by adding or removing the overload leaf IIRC.
