    Hello,

Has any going down from the stock 20” on a platinum to the stock 18” wheel, any negative impact? I was thinking of putting a BFG KO2 tire on it.

I am glad i steeped down from the 20" 1794 wheels to some 18" Method's
    - more side wall
    - tires are a little cheaper
    - lighter weight

No. I specifically went with the TRD package to get the 18”stockers. More meat.

Depends what you are doing. If street princess leave the 20's as they look good on the tundra. If off roading at all go 17-18 for more sidewall and better quality ride off road. Love the look of 20's, just not the off-road ride.

I did it for the same reason over two years ago and no regrets. I just recently bought 17" wheels for the same reason.

yeah I don’t do any off roading, but I just like the look of a bigger side wall.

I'm the same way. I know most like the look of bigger wheels and lower profile tires, but I prefer the opposite.

So much more selection in tires. Probably cheaper as well.

I went 20’s for about 2000 miles on my truck. That got old quick. Back to 18’s for me.

I just bought a 2014 Limited 4x4 back in June after totalling my 2013 Limited 4x4 TRD in May. I drove on the 2014 20s for a while, but liked the look of the TRD 18s I had put on the previous truck, which i was able to keep after its untimely death. switched from the OEM Limited 20s with Cooper Discoverer ATPs (265/60r20) to the TRD 18s and Discoverer ATPs (275/60r18).

With the same outside diameter, the 18s were 13lbs lighter per wheel. The 18s ride WAY better and I think the size looks better, too.
