Having second thoughts about my wheels and tires. Like the lift, but contemplating taking off the wheels and tires (method roost, 275/70/18 St Maxx)

    Yes.

That would look good. I kept my stock wheels, just had them powder coated all black.

I think your truck looks good as is. Whatever you do, don't go back to stock!

You don't like how it looks? I think it looks great. 100x better than the stock wheels.

Not that I don't like how it looks, but I miss the ease of being able to whip the truck around. I also am still on the fence about how "bro-ey" the truck looks now.

instead of 295/70 what if I take my tires, and throw them on the stock wheels with my lift? Seems like the best of both worlds.

I think some willing buyer would take New method Roosts with about 300 miles on them...

That's basically what I did, just my tires are a little bigger. I think you really can't go wrong with either wheel. Do what you think looks good.

    Could you post a pic?

I love my Icon Stage 2, but want to fill the wheel well. I guess technically i could just remount my current wheels and tires too, but I'm worried it would look strange.

With a smaller amount of offset, did you have any issues?

Tire are 295/70 on TRD OR wheels. 3/1 lift. No issues except I did have to bend the skid plate due to rubbing.

That looks great. I don't know how much the Roosts are, but I do know my tires were 61lbs. I wonder if switching back to the stock OR wheel cut down on weight too? Anyone know how heavy each weigh?

IMO, the wheels you have now look great, and would look even better with 295/70s. I think that's the direction I'm headed as well.

I know how it is, for all this money in mods, you gotta love the way it looks when you walk back out to the parking lot. If you don't, make a change and take advantage of all the folks on here willing to take those off your hands.

Good point. it is a sick drug, isn't it. If I do sell the wheels they'll go here first. I realize it would look strange as hell with my stock wheels and tires on an Icon Stage 2, so more work for me lol.

I'm keeping the Icon no matter what. Love that stuff. Just don't see the usefulness in those wheels.

Decided on keeping my Roost and ST Maxx's together, and putting 275/70/18 tires on my stock wheels. Will probably do the AT3 on there. save about 9lbs per corner on tire weight, and keep a somewhat stock look to the truck.

I had done the same size of 275 70 18 and didn't like the outcome so 3 months later I swapped the toyo at2 for 295 70 18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and wow the change was drastic

Looks good although I’m not a big fan of the method wheels. I know I’m in the minority with that one as a lot of guys seem to run them.
