When I quit Copenhagen the first time I was in Iraq, the Dr. Gave me Chantix. Never again, i had every bad side effect you could have. Vividly violent dreams, i became very angry and stupidly aggresive. Told the Doc, no more for me. I ended up quitting for a few years, cold turkey, now I'm back on Copenhagen. I'll quit again cold turkey.
When you chew it's more of the physical addiction than the nicotine, at least for me it is..

 

Join the Marines.. see how fast you're allowed to smoke em up in boot camp. 2 minutes top. Might actually be not allowed in boot camp anymore. I didn't start smoking until I was 29. Stooopid...

Quite frankly Chantix sounds like some crappy flavored fortified "mid town " liquor store vodka imported from Somalia

 

Smoked for 11 years and quit in June/2013 using chantix. Still get the urge sometimes especially when having a cold one but you just have to take control.

I however did lose control on a business trip to Brazil back in June. My boss and I were out one night drinking and I asked a guy smoking on the patio if I could bum 1. Man, it was so damn good, not even going to lie. However the next morning, I felt like shit and could tell I smoked one. Didn't miss that feeling.

In my 3 weeks chantix use, had 2 episodes of aggressive dreams. Heard of this from the pharmacist also....

 

The drink or the one cig made you feel bad??

 

I like having a cig when I drink beer. Got to break that habit. Quit beer?............no way. I've got my grand kids to think about so cigs need to take a hike.

 

Probably all the beer but I'll blame it on the smoke.

 

It scared the the hell out of me and I was in Iraq, pretty scary considering. For me its peach Jolly Ranchers, Orbits gum and sunflower seeds. Cold turkey !

 

I reckon it’s about time to quit, been thinking about it for a while now, thanks for sharing everyone.

 

I have never smoked and dont have a Ferrari from the savings

 

The wife and I both smoke recently she just tried the Chan techs it made her feel weird in the morning and made her depressed , it did not cure her craving to smoke and she still smoked one pack A-day . I still smoke at least one pack A-day but I don't wanna quit right now I do believe if you wanna quit smoking you have to want to do it!

2 1/2 packs a day for 23 years, quit using nicorette gum in 6 weeks. if you get an urge pop a piece of gum in your mouth chew three times and stick in the corner of you mouth like chewing tobacco.
