    Hey thanks Daniel!
not much of a build.. got big plans for the tundra..
but I want to take my taco out to play more. So for now probably give the Taco a few upgrades and some more trips.

How did you do the rear differential vent extension? Was it a kit or scratch built? If from scratch where did you get supplies and what thread size and type? I'd like to do the same thing to my truck. I enjoy the occasional water crossing.

I would like to know also. So the diff will take in water if we cross a body of water?

It can, I got stuck in a deep mud hole with my first gen and didn't realize that there was a vent back there. Long story short $1300 later I had a new driveshaft and spider gear set. Don't want to know what a third gen drive shaft costs so yeah, vent extension kit for me please! Lol

So here is a quick little write up for the diff breather mod.
-Diff is hot, when you cross cool water it will vacuum that mud/water into your diff=costly repair. great $20 insurance plan.-

I used 5/16 fuel line 12ft ish depending on how you decide to route.
    2 hose clamps
    teflon tape
    bunch of zip ties
Cutters, pliers, star socket for the tails(forgot what size)

    E2887FEB-4EC1-4E83-AE05-5E57D54F7419_zps_585b42c8be6c7863a423b02ee05dfa2b48801065.jpg
    i used part # 90930-03136 and part # 90404-51319

First remove your tail light/disconnect all the plugs and put aside(2 star screws+pins that you need to pull away from to remove). Look down inside and see where you would route the line. Look towards the top of the bed and see where you would like to mount the new breather on. Make sure breather is pointed upward(highest point possible.)

This is the new adapter and old breather
    E16AA888-46C9-4A65-80DC-47B7143C03D3_zps_328d38c44c54a0e6ab8eac4f580ae6a1a19beb11.jpg

New adapter mounted(teflon tape the threads)
    E16AA888-46C9-4A65-80DC-47B7143C03D3_zps_328d38c44c54a0e6ab8eac4f580ae6a1a19beb11.jpg

fuel line connected to new adapter, clamp and be sure to leave a good amount of slack for Flex.

I ran the line above the frame zip tied green so I can easily distinguish the breather line. then went along the frame up into the taillight section.

Then mount the new breather in clamp it ,clip all the excess fuel line, zip ties, and put everything back together.
Really easy mod. I seen countless threads where ppl run clear fuel filter through. you can if you want to. I honestly don't see the point unless you want to see if you would get any "blow back"?
But I opted to this simple.. just like our front breathers.

here is a video of my taco running through a small river. I didn't have the diff breather on at the time on the taco, drained the fluid. and luckily no water mixed in.. but now breather is in the taco and tundra for peace of mind just in case situations like this occurs again.

Just wondering to who ever that did the speedo calibrator if you guys when by actual measurements of the diameter of the tire?
I inputed 34.50 for now and then see how much I am off by then go from there..
My actual measurement of the tire was 33.50... Hmm I swear I bought 35x12.50r18 smh.. Bfg stated they are actual 34.50. My measurement on 30 psi = 33.50 ish..

I did mine the way Hypertech said to:

If the tire height is not known, ask a tire dealer or use the following steps below:

    1. Place a chalk mark on the tire where it contacts the pavement and also mark the pavement. These marks should be at the center of the tire footprint pointing straight down to the pavement.

    2. Roll the vehicle in a straight line until the chalk mark makes one revolution and is pointing straight down at the pavement again. Mark the pavement again at this new spot.

    3. Measure (in inches) the distance between the two (2) marks on the pavement. Divide the measurement by 3.1416. This will give you the tire height in inches.

    I am currently on BFG KO2 35x12.50R18
Manufacture spec. says real diameter is 34.5x12.50R18
I spoke with a representative @ hypertech and he said to actually tape measure the tire..
From tape measure I got 33.5 at the tallest point of the tire (@ 30psi) inputted that took it out for a spin and calculated a 10mile drive w/ my gps + speedometer app. I was off by 3.6 ish mph.

I went back this morning and put in 34.5 and did the same 10mile drive + speedo app test and was off by .3 mph..

Something I can live with.. I've read tons of reviews about the shift points etc.. i honestly don't feel any difference. maybe when I tow i will feel the difference.
    overall ok product.
I was off by 5-6 mph. Now speedo is corrected. Could've lived without it, just got a good deal on it.

Welp. I won a bid I didn't expect to win..
Got a general grabber 35x12.50r18 for $86 shipped!
Really nice tires might consider it for my next set.. But damn things are heavy I weighed this one at about 85lbs

With the full size rim I got about 108lbs total.

Now I really need to figure out where to mount this thing.

Wanted to do red letters out, but ended up doing the black outs.

A damn good price and as a spare it's fine but nothing more. I've never heard any real good reviews on them other than they look good..

Did some towing this past weekend. This was my first long distance tow, pulling a Toyota Gt86, ran pikes peak last month to promote the new company sponsors and new tires. Took it to Fontana for 86fest.

Anyways the truck exceeded all my expectations. Gas was decent. From Bay Area to Fontana CA I burned through 6 tanks.
