2018+ LED HEADLIGHTS PLUG N PLAY HARNESS FOR 2014-2021 MODELS [V 2.0]

Thanks iHacker for the great harness! Install was straightforward and everything works great. My only hiccup was depinning the grey wire from the J29 terminal. I suffered with trying to de-pin that terminal until the plastic was deformed and almost ruined. In the end, I had to snip the grey wire - no big deal, I guess.

All in all, I’m happy with the light output and the overall improvement over the 2017 halogen lights.

 

I currently have the 2018 headlights with your harness. Will your harness still work on the 2019 trd headlights?

 

Yep is the same headlight with slightly change in color only the new headlights are Glossy black and the old ones were offered only in Chrome or Smoked Chrome, nothing changed for the electrical side.

The headlights are really shiny to get good pictures but here an idea.

 

So I'm going to honest and say that I'm a little confused. I have a 2017 1794. What do I need to make to lights work?

 

You need one of his "platinum/1794" harnesses the $100 harness. It is 100% plug and play under the hood. No additional wiring needed.

 

Changed out the lights and grill today. Everything work as expected. Thank I hacker for the excellent harness.

How hard is install? I want to add the 2019 pro headlights to my 2017 pro just want to make sure I don’t get in way over my head

 

It is quite simple especially with a harness from @iHacker . If you plan on utilizing the LED DRL, it takes a bit more labor but by no means difficult. Just time.

After much yelling at a tiny grey wire and some clutch troubleshooting from iHacker, finally got some 19 pro headlights installed. Ignore the dirty truck.

 

I installed the Morimoto LED ones

 

Harness ordered (TY iHacker). 19 black housing headlights ordered, LED fogs ordered, color matched bulge and surround ordered. Done ordering shit...

 

Tiny gray wire was a b1tch for me too. I eventually just cut it and connected it.

This little tool I recommended in the installation guide makes it a piece of cake




Just unlock the tiny gray wire pin and with the tool just push the pin out of connector you don’t even have the need to pull the wire from back


I did 2 trucks today in about 4 hours, a Limited and a SR5.

 

In my opinion the most difficult part at least for me is the firewall grommet wire man I hate that, there’s no room there to work specially for someone with big hands.

 

That’s for sure! Especially if there is already a 2ga amp power wire passing thru the nipple. I had to make a small incision just below the nipple and pass it thru.

The grey wire was a bitch for me too. I also had to cut it. I tried hard to find those tools but no one sells them locally- that I could find.

 

I had my wife stick her small hand down there and cut the grommet while I stuck a Phillips head in through the cab to stretch it out.

 

That’s great, a helper is a plus
