    my 2018 platinum has a factory brake controller. I just bought a used 27 foot Winnebago travel trailer. I see no activity on the trailer brake and no braking.

    Is the factory brake controller OK? I would rather not add a separate controller.

    Any suggestions on how to test this?

    Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
    Go to settings on the display in dash and make sure you are setup for type of brakes and trailer weight first. 2nd yes, lots of issues and a tsb for software.

    The factory brake controller has been a problem for many owners since it came out. For some it works well, for some it’s marginal and for others it seems to be useless. There’s several threads about this, use the search function and do some reading.
