I am looking to purchase a TRD Pro Grille for my 2015 Limited which is Color 218 (Attitude Black). I want the surround, hood bulge and the insert in color 218. Would you please help me out with this and let me know how I can order from you? I know I can order the hood bulge in 218 but I really don't want the surround and insert to be a different color.

 

You'd have to take them to a local body shop to have them painted to match. I would suggest buying the hood bulge in 218, and the Pro grille in 202.

that may be the only option. I will think through this

If I want to cover up the chrome in my bumpers (front and rear) in 218, are there wraps for those or what other options do I have?

 

I have a 2017 Silver Sky Metallic SR5 and it has the standard chrome insert, surround, and bulge. I want the matte black insert (2014-15 SR5 it looks like?). I want to leave the chrome surround and bulge and just swap out the insert, but understand that I need to buy the surround and insert together as a unit. Is that something that's available to order?

 

@folger71 looks like the insert and surround are an assembly and you cannot by it separately. You can only buy the hood bulge separately.

I was hoping to find out whether/where I can order the chrome (or silver sky metallic) surround and black insert and the price.

@Roman I just bought the TRD Pro grille from you guys. I bought the insert and surround in black. I need to get it painted with paint code 218. 2 questions:
1. I know I will get the surround painted to match, but should I get the insert painted to match as well? Planning to leave TOYOTA sign as it is
2. How much $$ is too much to get the insert/surround painted just so I have a price range?

 

1. That's completely up to you and your preferences for what you want your truck to look like.

2. We charged $150 for the surround and $250 for the insert, back when we were doing that sort of thing. The insert was a PITA, according to our painters. That should at least give you a base line. Of course, if you live in San Francisco or New York, prices will be different than little old Franklin, TN prices.

It's not the same material, but it is more of a matte black finish. You'll see what I'm talking about once it arrives.

 

@Roman, I just dropped the grill off at an auto body shop and they will paint the surround for $120. I thought about painting the insert but not getting it done. I like the OEM look of the insert, I don't want to mess around with it too much. It looks like the matte black finish on the bumper so I will stick with that contrast. Will let you know how it comes out! thanks for all the help.

By the way, is there anything you can do about the sky high shipping costs? I'm looking to order manual-fold tow mirrors but the shipping cost has taken it over my budget even after I applied the discount code!

 

Nice. Definitely do. I like the contrast myself as well.

I have tried negotiating with UPS about the shipping costs from our store in the past. Unfortunately, we're just one medium sized car dealership that ships less than 1000 packages a month. They don't give us the big discounts like Amazon or Walmart gets, being multinational, multi-billion dollar companies that probably ship 1000 packages every minute.

 

Have you tried USPS? If it FITS it SHIPS lol!

 

We do use USPS pretty frequently, but the only flat rate that is worth it is the small flat rate box, and the larger/heavier the package is, the more exponential the price goes up for their shipping.

 

Does the 2019 pro grille not come with the tss shield/bracket??

 

No it does not. Its an extra $365 and looks like crap.

Just to clarify, does $160 include the 2019 TRD pro grill insert (the black grill), or does the $160 only pay for the bracket/cover?



My goal is to get a paint matched 2019 TRD Pro grill insert and bulge on my cement grey 2018 SR5. It sounds like I'll need the following:

- 2019 TRD Pro Grill (I can't find a part number for this yet) with cement surround
- cement grey bulge
- your relo bracket for $160

Does that sound right?

@ARES do we need your previous adjustable relocation bracket and the new grille garnish for the 2019 grille or does the grille come with hardware to support the sensor? Thanks!

 

Great, thank you for clarifying. When you mention hardware is that something that comes with the grille or can be taken from my current 2018 grille with TSS to swap over. Or do I need a take a trip to Home Depot or something for some misc bolts.

I have a '16 SR5, would I need to order the backing plate for the emblem if I wanted to get the '18 Platinum grille?
