From owners that have had regular window tint and ceramic window tint. Is it really worth it? I’m looking to tint my windows and wondering if I should go the ceramic route since I’m in sunny California. Is the material thicker?

I had ceramic tint professionally installed on my 2017 Accord and I'll never use it again. Google "ceramic tint low angle haze".

I’ve had Llumar Pinnacle installed on every vehicle i’ve Ever had. It’s sweet, well worth the additional cost over standard tint.

Next step up from Pinnacle. I had the moonroof on another vehicle tinted with Stratos right when it was released last year. Good stuff for sure.

I think the ceramic makes a noticeable difference in heat reduction. However, I like to wear polarized sunglasses and they don't mix well with ceramic tints. When I went for tints on the new truck, I asked my installer about it and he admitted that ceramic films and polarized glasses aren't recommended as the film is similar to applying polarized lenses to your windows.. However, one could also argue that you don't need to wear the sunglasses if you go with ceramic. Personal preference I guess.

I just had my tundra tinted professionally and did ceramic on the front windshield and to front windows and I think it's def worth the extra cash. Noticeably more heat blockage.

Ceramic tint is awesome, it cuts the heat & glare.
    My sunglasses are polarized

Just got our work truck done with Llumar CTX. I wear polarized Oakley's. I don't notice any issue with haze, waves, or deflection. It keeps the truck cool in the sun, that's for sure. My local shop had a demo setup with a heat lamp, it was pretty amazing.

My Tundra is already tinted dark, but I am going to CTX on my Toyota Matrix within the next few weeks.

I got the sunTek ceramics installed on mine a few months ago and I LOVE IT. I didnt do the windshield, just the doors and back window. It is noticeably cooler, but I didnt take in before and after metrics.
I have some cheapish polarized replacement lenses in my oakley sunglasses and havent noticed any issues visibility wise.
There was a light haze on the windows, visible from the inside, for the first week or so, basically looked like someone "washed" the windows with dirty water, but it cleared up and looks great now IMO

If it’s good quality there is nothing better than ceramic.
    Huge difference
