18 years with my Tacoma and 244k miles. It doesn't look beat up either.

I don’t trust this research and don’t believe that iseecars.com is a qualified research organization! They are an online used car search engine. That’s about it!! I gave you hem the benefit of the doubt, but, as I read their so-called research findings and the process, I realized that it was skewed.

When I did doctoral studies some years ago, I also worked a a graduate research assistant to a group of researchers at a reputable university. I learned that the process, construct, reliability, and validity are key variables to having an authentic research. Unfortunately, iseecars.com’s research doesn’t fulfill the requirements for a valid and reliable research. Therefore, I would not put too much thought to this information.

****If anything, they should have examined more reputable sources for their data collection****

PLUS: I honestly believe that the reason why so-called Nissan Titan owners keep their trucks as long as this article states, is because they are stacked with it and are usually unable to recoup the money they paid for those poorly made trucks.

Have had mine for 3, and it’s been in existence for 10. I’ll likely have mine for another 5 at least.

I've noticed there are two kinds of truck owners, those that trade them in every 2, 3, maybe 4 years and those that keep them forever. The keep their truck forever thing is especially prevalent among Toyota truck guys that have one that's more than 5-6 years old. Usually they bought them new and tend to drive them for 10+ years. And then a lot of times they get passed down/sold to somebody in the family, their son, nephew, friend or whoever needs cheap reliable transportation.

IMO that's why its hard to find nice, cheap, older model Toyota trucks that aren't beat to pieces. All the nice, one owner, well maintained trucks(even if they have a ton of miles on them) get sold thru word of mouth or passed on to sons/daughters/relatives.
