Got her a little dirty in the Sam Houston National forest with the Houston Overland group. :)

Installed SwingCase today on passenger side. I have the Extang SolidFold 2.0 and I had to trim the handle about an inch plus the screw that is inside of the handle via a hacksaw. Put the bolt back on the screw that holds the spring in place giving it tension and added some locktite to it. Wrapped the handle with some electrical tape to beef it up a bit so it sticks back into the cover like it did prior to me trimming it.

BTW: I got this at AutoAnything. Ping @eccracer104 for a great deal.

    IMG_1699.jpg

This is about how much I needed to trim (actually cut twice... since I needed a little more).

    IMG_1698.jpg

Still has full function for the handle and keeps the cover on tight

Is it a coincidence that both white vehicles are ahead of the pack, let alone the MGM taco? I think not.

Had to commemorate transformation Tuesday properly. Still can’t thank Rob Stringer and his team enough for bringing our vision to life. We spent a loooooong time in white fenders trying to decide exactly how to make her look right and still unique.

Ultimately we decided on an homage to Ivan Stewart’s Toyota race trucks from the 80s. Lisa and I both grew up watching his Baja and Stadium racing, and wanted to go with those iconic stripes. The yellow, orange and red didn’t quite work for us on the MGM base color, and we didn’t want to half ass the whole thing. So after various inspirations and weeks of research and terrible mock ups, we spent an hour with Rob sifting through Toyota paint variant decks.

We looked at other manufacturers colors too, but again, wanted to keep in the Toyota family and make a proper nod to the Ironman and his team. With colors chosen, we then spent an hour or two with Patrick the painter who paints and lined up the stripes. The man is an artist and was able to take into account the fact we wanted to emphasize the bulges and curves of the fender, but still have straight stripes. The turned out perfect, and the truck still has a mean face from the front.

The grille and surround and front bumper caps were all painted to match, and even the Toyota symbol is matched while the insert is blacked out for some contrast.

So here she is, all dressed up and everywhere to go. Classy enough to valet at the club in Scottsdale, and capable enough to take on the rocks in Moab.

Got the passenger grab handle reinstalled last night. It was to dark for pics, so had to wait until after work today.

Very easy. Reach under your bumper, find the light, twist it and pull. Pull the bulb and replace with led. Less than 5 minutes

Great job! Curious, would've it been harder to have stitching facing out?

TRD front and rear sway bars/ CAI. Recon smoked tail lights. LED Bed Lights. LED grill lights Bilstein 6112 front and 5100 rear. RC 1” rear block. RC lower grill LED bar. Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295x60x20 on Fuel D-251 couplers. SDHQ ABS covers. Rear under seat storage. Body mount rebuild. Color matched mirrors, handles. Raptor step bars.
I'll get some later today. This exhaust from @dirtydeeds is fantastic. I couldn't recommend it more. Beefy when needed, solid throaty sound at idle, but not ridiculously loud.

And I need to quit this website, just ordered SDHQ ABD protectors, every time I get on here I go broke!!

    A bunch
I can't say for getting someone to do it, but the cover only cost me $65 CAD (Amazon) and it only took 3 hours to do the stitching. There's a couple spots where I wish I put more double sided tape (I used the rest trying a bed lighting mod but that didn't work out at all), but for the most part the GF said the stitching was easy. Getting the stitching around the 9 and 3 positions was by far the toughest, and the cruise control stick being there added to the difficulty.

Check with @DecalsByDesign to see if he makes those, his products are very high quality and he has a great rep. I'd start with him. If he doesnt check out TVD decals.

Got my footwell lights installed and working thanks to @NewImprovedRon. Ended up using the cargo light wire and it worked first try. I thought I had ordered white lights but the blue is kinda cool with my blue truck. I'll take some night pics later. The double sided tape was not going to hold, I could just tell. So I used it plus zip ties under back seats and heavy duty velcro up front.
I also put in LED festoon bulbs in the sun visor / mirror. Had overlooked those bulbs when I upgraded other bulbs a few months ago.

Thanks Sean. I initially wanted the white/amber switchbacks but Headlight Revolution said they weren't compatible w/this headlight so I ended out going with the GTR Lighting Armor 7440/7443 amber/amber LED's.

I should note that a resistor is required for those as well.
