aloha guys. I searched but didn’t really find an answer. So sorry if I didn’t look hard enough, but what exactly happens when you lift your 2018s. Is it rendered oos or does a light just come on, or does the breaks stop the truck for no reason? I’m planning on getting that bracket from Aries, but shucks if that don’t work. I don’t want my brand new truck to be down

From what I've read on the forums here it's hit or miss some are fine with a lift others aren't and if I'm not mistaken only issue is the sensor warning light illuminates on the dash and you might have issues with your cruise control but other than that I don't think there is any other issues

Thanks man. This is crazy and killing me. I’m so upset with my dealer. I bought 5 trucks from him. He knows I’m gonna loft it. But he claims he didn’t know either. anyone with the problem care to answer

Some 18's had sensor issues regardless of whether or not they were lifted. It appeared to me that it was easier to blame the lift than admit that there was a problem with some TSS trucks. As previously mentioned, if the TSS operation is so sensitive that a lift / level will cause it to malfunction, what happens when people use their trucks to haul cargo or tow? The load will cause the truck to sit more level. Is the TSS supposed to malfunction when there is a load in the bed or on the hitch?

Toyota had at least two recalls that involved reprograming the truck. Since then, there have been far fewer posts on this board about the problem; it seems like the problem has been fixed for the most part and that it was unrelated to lifting / leveling.

Staying under 6" shouldnt be an issue, although a few have had issues. 4" and under no issues.. You are good to lift...

Chances are you will be fine. I have heard of some adjusting the sensor. You bought ProComp which is 4WP. They put the ProComp 6" lift on their DSI (Dealer trucks with a ton of added aftermarket for way too much $$) They told me there is a way to program it for the height. The TSB toyota put out was based on 4" or less OK, but many have pushed the 6"...

I had issues when I pulled off the lot. As previously stated, some have had issues whether lifted or not. After all my headaches. They finally got it dialed in and working right. It's just some adjustments and calibrations that need to be made. I honestly think Toyota had gotten a bad batch of sensors that were causing all the issues. I would say proceed with lift but if dashboard lights start coming on, take to Toyota and have them recalibrate. I did not encounter a random braking issue but that's not saying it couldn't happen. My advice is just be cautious, but I think you are ok to proceed with lift.
