    Changed oil/filter and painted the TRD tailpipes (but not the tips) because a $1200 exhaust that doesn't look like a rusty mess after 6 months is apparently too much to ask for.

    I was disappointed to have to do it...put it off for a year but I bit the bullet. It's not perfect up towards to muffler flanges because no way I was pulling the two tail pipes from the truck because of how hard they are to get aligned evenly lol. I bout a 5 pack of 9'x12' plastic sheets and covered everything under there and my bed sides/tail gate. But I made sure the parts right by the tips look real good so I don't have to look at that mess every time I walk up to it :D I painted up to the mufflers and called it good to get all the parts that you can see from the back and from the wheel wells, etc.

    And thanks :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Today I got a big chunk of a detail done.

    Last week I washed it and kept it in the garage clean. Today I used bug & tar remover, clay bar, then polish & wax with my Porter Cable 2474XP. The paint is looking and feeling good, man these trucks are big, so time consuming!

    I just need to do a quick touch up of the interior tomorrow then it's all done. Can't wait!

    It took me 5x as long to prep than it did to actually spray it lol. I bought a 5 pack of 9'x12' plastic drop clothes from Lowes and a roll of blue painters tape. Took me forever in getting it all masked off so no overspray hit anything under there. Taped off the mufflers as my stopping point and the tips. Wiped it down with a scotchbrite green scuff pad and sprayed it off with brake cleaner. Brake cleaner ended up making half the damn tape I taped unstick itself, so retaped and restuck the plastic sheets. Then painted with some high heat header paint...said it had ceramic in it??? It said automotive on the can and said good for exhaust systems...and it was flat black which I wanted, no shine to it. 4 coats 8-10 mins apart, used 2 cans more or less.

    Had the truck on Rhino ramps and rolled around under there with a creeper. Ended up with overspray all over me and the floor, but easy fixes. No overspray (that I've noticed, at least) on the truck, so plastic prep worked out.

    Had I of had a helper to tighten the 6 bolts on the flanges while I hang on the tips to make sure they end up being level/hang even, that would have been the move rather than all the prep work lol. Start to finish took me like 4 hours to prep/mask and spray. Not too bad.

    finished a quick DIY and painted my front tow hooks. (sanded, primed, sprayed super white and then super red II and finished with clear). Came out well. Posted last week that I decided to empty a leftover can of bedliner on my OEM TRD Skid plate since it looked so blah. Overall the Duplicolor Super Red II looks pretty close to the red painted on the TRD swaybars and springs. I don't know what it would have looked like if I just painted it on the black and didnt apply coats of primer and white prior to. Happy I took the extra time to do those steps. Slapped on a red TRD Decal just for sh*ts and giggles. I like it.

    Can anyone recommend an aftermarket alarm that still utilizes the OEM key Fob?I bought some of those nifty key fob cases from AJT design that I would rather like to retain. Plus I still have my OEM Remote Start. If anyone knows LMK. Thanks

    Installed the Pedal Commander. I happy that it works on both the 4Runner and Tundra being that I bought it 4 months ago for the 4Runner.

    I kinda hid it in the center console paneling by my right leg. It has Bluetooth, so I don’t need to access it to change settings.
