But how many mail boxes did it take out on the way to your driveway while accelerating on its own in front of a cop?

The ole “Rev” isn’t going anywhere. Something tells me the turbo blew out two days after the warranty expired on his POS Dodge diesel and hes needing to vent in jealousy after secretly knowing he should have bought the Tundra.

I don't think people like being told that it's their fault with certain things. I also think the people just like coming on here and trying to stir the pot and instead of stirring the pot it gets reversed on them because we make it into a joke because that's all it really is is a joke cuz we all know better.

We all know that vehicles have issues it's the nature of the Beast. But to come on to a forum and just bitch when it's plainly obvious that that hole didn't happen overnight from the rust and any normal person could have been able to tell that the frame was rusted they don't need a mechanic if that's what the type of hole that hole that they're looking at.

Personally I think this whole thread should get deleted. This person posted this here simply to trash Toyota's name because they were dumb enough to buy a 15yo truck with a rusty frame. He/she wants this thread to show up on google searches, don't give them the satisfaction.

Leave the thread up. Like our friend Elk Hunter, these threads turn into entertaining pile-ons. It spices things up a bit.

Well,to be fair, the road salt here in the Northeast will rust absolutely everything. The last three Toyotas I had (2004 Taco, 2010 4Runner, 2016 Taco) didn't have anything worse than superficial rust, though. The 2004 Taco and 4Runner were kept through 6 winters and both were fine.

Now Dodge Rams, on the other hand....

lol I was joking. earlier jap cars were made of recycled American steel and rusted like CRAZY!!!

Bash Dodge all you want but my mechanic who has been in business for over 50 years (farther started business) told me when I asked about tundra and told him would be hauling construction equipment and supply's that I needed a "real" truck. He wasn't bashing the tundra but pointing out i needed 30,000 pound tow capacity which Toyota cant do presently and only Chevy, ford and dodge make trucks that can.

A while back I asked for advice concerning a car hauling business and was told to not really bother with the ram 35/4500 and go with a lighter duty freightliner (if memory serves) but i may end up with the 3500 because i cant even get my girlfriend to drive the Tundra.... :(

Me: Honey you need to pick me up in the tundra later I'm dropping off the Durango for an oil change.
    Honey: NOOOOOO, it's to BIG!!!
    Me: *sigh* ok,ill walk.

Not bashing the capabilities of the other manufacturers at all. Really the Tundra is limited in options, with the others you have heavy duty trucks and diesel available.

But Dodge trucks are notorious for rust up here. My friend has a 2015 Ram that is beautiful except for the undercarriage which is heavily rusted and the bed now had bubbles in the paint near the wheel wells and is already rusting. If you buy one in this part of the country you absolutely have to get the truck oiled underneath unless you're leasing. That's all I was implying in my post.
