I bought all the vinyl from TVD. The badge kit doesn’t come with vinyl for the 5.7 but I’m liking that a good bit of the badge is still very much blacked out. Who knows maybe I’ll eventually create that portion myself to have vinyl cut.

Drove her to work in the pouring rain. I rarely park in the garage so I went up to check on her during my lunch break.
And yes I parked like an asshole, garage is empty no cars even on my floor

installed my AMP Research Bed Extender. :)

Super happy with it. Ordered the no-drill brackets from AMP and it worked out well, because the brackets gave me just enough clearance to flip the extender past the tonneau cover rails.

I try to park far far away to avoid this. But the garage limits this.

@mgm16trdpro Ok so I saw this picture on ARB’s website. Awhile back there was talk regarding this bed rack not being strong enough to have a RTT mounted on top of it and that it would have too much stress on the hindges of the Diamondback Bed Cover. However, here I see it with an RTT on top and a pretty good size. I know it says the weight limit is what it is, but I do think if you were to add four of these, this would definitely work. Thoughts?

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Added the driver-side grab handle.....after a few mods...

Keeping with the theme of the steering wheel mod I did back in an earlier post, here...
I got some black suede material from Joann's, some black perforated leather from ebay. Had plenty of red thread from steering wheel cover. Used weldwood contact cement.

    First, the pillar:
    Being an injected molded polypropylene, I started by prepping the pillar to remove as much of the mold release oils as I could;
1.) Used small torch to slowly heat (6" sections at a time), the wiped down with 91% alcohol/paper towels.
2.) Sanded with 320 grit to rough up the surface, as well as 1" on the underside edge.
3.) Washed with dish detergent, dried, and wiped down with 91% alcohol again.

Wrapping the pillar...Not much to it, but time. Take plenty of it. Did lower face surface first, then each side about 6" at a time.
The area around the handle attachments took a bit more time, and was done in smaller sections to mitigate any wrinkles. Wrapped around to the back side. X-cut the opening, then after drying overnight, detail trimmed.

    IMG_9111.jpg
    IMG_9112.jpg IMG_9114.jpg

    For the handle:
1.) Started by trimming about 1/16" - 3/32" around the lower edge of the handle, where it seats on the pillar. This is to allow space for the leather to be tucked in later. I ended up gluing a couple washers to the bottom of the handle to give some space and not have to cut to much of the handle.
2.) Followed the same prep as the pillar. The handle material is some type of a rubber compound plastic, so it's not has hard as the pillar and I had to be more careful with the heat.
3.) I made a template, and cut out the perforated leather. Following the design of the steering wheel, I hand-stitched some of the red thread about 3/16" from the edges. I'll take more pictures of this process while working on the passenger side.
4.) I glued, wrapped and stitched the center part of the handle, leaving the ends unglued so I could leave the covers open, to access the bolts.
5.) Once installed (there's tons of how to vids on YT), I glued down the rest of the leather and tucked it in the edges.
    Passenger side next.

You've become quite the seamstress @GAknight it looks great with that steering wheel, great idea and very unique.

Is the grab bar worth the money? I'd love to have one but cant bring myself to spend the money.

I've always been a big DIY kind of guy. Nothing against buying unique items, but if I can figure out how to do something on my own, or have a creative idea, I go for it. My confidence for upholstery comes from several years of making my own tac/hunting gear.

As far as the grab bar, I love it. I've got a 3" lift and while the side steps help, I always grab the steering wheel when getting in. Not no mo'. I've had it on for a day and love it.

Hmm, idk I'm guessing it all depends how many people in the tent. For me, I was looking at 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. Unfortunately, in my fam we are all beasts lol. Even my 9 and 4 yr old are big boys for their age. It would have to support at very least around 500 lbs and that's just in people. Idk know if adding 4 at 165lb each works like that. Maybe only way to find out is call manufacturers. I know as an alternative the DB can be drilled into. I probably shouldn't be hesitating to drill since I already took over an inch bit into my bed and made 4 holes for the bedslide. I'm not in any rush to figure it out though, got couple other plans and might have to wait until next year to figure this 1 out.

    Awesome job! Looks bad ass!
How did you trim out around the pop caps that cover the bolts?

I didn't trim the caps. I stitched the edges together, using the same technique as the steering wheel, while gluing down the center part of the handle (the part you actually grab). I left the ends unglued and just pulled the leather back (like how one might take off a sock). With the ends being larger, it wasn't an issue. Once the handle was installed, I popped the caps back in, applied some glue, then pulled the leather back down. Then I trimmed the leather to about 1/4" from the end, applied some glue, then tucked it under.

I was consumed with the fitment and gluing the first time around and didn't take any pics. I'll take more as I do the passenger side.

Painted the console trim yesterday and installed it this morning. I did it a little different than most. I used a dremel to to cut the plastic welds under the gray trim ring then drilled holes where they were. I removed the gear indicator plate so i could paint the shiny plastic area around the chrome around the shifter gate. After paint was dry, i used double sided foam tape to reinstall the gear indicator plate. I then used jb kwik to re-bond the trim ring to the larger black piece. Im happy with the results.

On mine or @GodlessPro ? I’m stock wheels, no spacers. I’m guessing you meant his truck setup!
