Haha, jep, might get a discount!
I am most likely going with the scheme tbey choose for the Line X Tundra they showed at SEMA 2016 (see picture). I am not yet 100 % decided what base color, either as it is on the picture (blue) or some olive (greenish).

    What picture??

Looking through some google image search results... I like this one :)

    Reasonable stance...
Love those fender flares... from the angle above...
    Low pro bumper looks great!
Gorgeous Color!! (not sure whats going on with the image on the side though...)
I'd just put some tow mirrors on and black out the headlights/tail lights.
The grille insert even looks good. Js: I'd drive it... :)

It is in general the consensus here that the car washes are scary, but, my wife had a ongoing monthly pass at one of the places here where she paid a certain amount per month and could go through as often as she wants; she had it for about 3 years and had it washed on average at least once per week (it was close to kid's school so whenever she had to wait for them for after school activities so would go swing by and have it washed). Long story short, after 3 years; about 150 washes, I did not see any significant scratches. It was a $40,000 vehicle so I did care about it and did look to make sure that it was not a bad idea.

Maybe it is somehow not as bad as people make it out to be.
(But I have to also say that I never take my truck through there... ;)..just food for thought)

Amen too that. What he did was sacrilegious, and for the life of me I can't understand how someone could love something so much, yet submit their loved one to such abuse.

Just cause he loves the truck doesnt mean he loves the paint. If going line-x I probably wouldnt take the time to hand wash my truck either....

Yeah no, unfortunately the ones I got have a bolt sticking out on each end of light. Then 1 bracket on each side attaches to it total 2 for each light. Yours mount on top. Mine mounts 2 brackets one on each side of end. Prob won't work for my lights the way u got it. Tnx anyway though.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
    Thanks brotha!
Altogether, it was about 7.5 hrs.
I really took my time to make sure the tape and any contact adhesive was done section by section, and that the stitching was as precisely uniform as possible (like in pic 5 of the original post).
I did the bottom section first then went from the 5 o'clock up to the three and along the bottom of the 3 o'clock arm. Then made sure the position was set, and started at the top of the 3 o'clock section, back out to the wheel, then around counterclockwise...and so on.
Definitely the most patience requiring mod to date, followed closely by the vinyl wrap projects.
Let me know if you need any more help/info.

Tnx partner. Yeah I can do a bedslide and bumper, stuff like that and 12 hours flies by. However, I don't have the patience to stitch and do a wheel cover probably anymore than 2. If it doesn't get done in that time, I'd get frustrated and rush. Probably better for me to not partake. If I got a drill, wrench and other tools in my hand for long hours I'm fine. Stitching a wheel cover I don't think I can take.

But thank u for honest review. I think for me, at least for now, to solve my wearing wheel issue, I'm gonna have to buy a damn cover, ugh, I hate them, hopefully I can find a decent 1 that doesn't make me throw up in my mouth every day looking at it. Fn Toyota got me pissed on this 1. 20k miles and a starting to worn out wheel.

They say a pic is worth 1k so here, maybe this shows better. Anybody got any experience mounting this under rear bumper.
I remember a guy on here had them right under bumper right next to hitch on both sides and looked great. Maybe he can help.

So I finally got my shipping notification for the tonneau. Not sure if it's just coincidence that it's the day after I called them about my order... When I talked to them they said they're so new that no distributors had them in stock, not sure why their website says in stock on it though. Oh well, IF I'm lucky I'll get it this weekend, but it'll most likely come early next week.

Here's a couple photos of the scratches. Not really sure what to do about them. I was hopefully planning on washing and waxing this weekend to at least get a little protection in the mean time.

    Lost track after #1.
As long as they're not thru the clear coat you can lightly sand and buff them out. I did these not long ago as an example.

Shit that's what I thought I was doing with these. Figured I'd put a cheap set in only like 20 bucks and then when got time n money tackle the flush mount bd's cutting into rear bumper. Just wanted something in meantime since my wiring just got done. Then I'd pull them and throw a set on my quad and another on sons. I bought 2 sets damnit.

How about this thin steel bumper support bracket? You could even flip those light brackets 180° and use self tapping screws and washers to mount them to this bracket. It's a bit outboard or wide spacing but would probably work fine. Sorry for shitty pic and dirty truck.
You could stack washers as spacers between sheet steel and lights so they sit level. Just a thought.

The word sand scares me . I have zero knowledge on actually buffing though. Your results gives me hope though, I'd say mine are similar depth from what I can tell from the photo.
Now that you mention it I have seen those, I don't think I've ever seen someone with personal experience with them though. But the commercials make them look good!

Tnx guys. I'm gonna rethink this. I might just throw the 2 sets of ultra thin LEDs on my and sons quad. Then just bite bullet and get the baja lights. Do it once and do it right. Time to decide s2 or squadron's flush mount.

Yep, I take my Tundra through at least once a week. My Sequoia I did the same for three years. No problems.

The stitching is really not difficult. It's just a matter of how detailed you want to be with it.
The edge stitching is already on the wrap when you get it. The video below is one of the best IMO...it's the one I used for reference, and is the same stitching pattern/ sewing process I used.

Did some vinyl decals to spruce it up. Decals are from TVD Vinyl Decals on ebay. I really need to get creative and make my own decals on my Cricut.

Are your door badges black aftermarket or Plasti-Dipped? I want to black badges for the 5.7 as I removed the all other badges but wanted to add red lettering but was afraid the vinyl would not stick to the PD.

Truck came with 35% on the front glass but I decided to have it removed and had 25% applied to match the rear windows. Also, did 70% on the windshield. She looks much better now and hopefully the cab will stay a little cooler as well. I also applied the red tailgate insert I bought from TVD. Slow and steady.

Mine are all plasti-dipped. I just put the vinyl on today. It seems to be holding well so far. Time will tell, though.
