    Hello all,

Does any one else here have problems with cats using your truck as a safe space! I have stray cats that leave paw prints all over my truck, even sliding down the window. They even get on truck bed side and slide down side of fender, mud marks everywhere!

It looks like they tap danced all over, muddy as well! I hate to even wash the truck now!

I dont have a garage or I'de be ok! Any ideas on how to keep them off! :stirthepot:

    Thanks!

I just let my dog hang out on my truck—that keeps the cats away.

Seriously though, if there are cats around and you can't park in a garage you're pretty much out of luck. At my last house where I had to park outside I always had cat prints on mine as well. I just learned to live with it! On the plus side, they probably help keep mice from eating your wiring.

What you really need is a vehicle that is less of a pussy magnet. :D

Set up a 4x4 cat cam on YouTube and make some money off of it.

The cat prints on my truck are self-inflicted: my truck and my cats sleep in the garage together. I have towels protecting the fenders and bedside. Those damn claws take their toll on the paint over time. If my wife and kids wouldn't notice they were missing, the cats would have "run away" a long time ago.

    Thanks,

Yeah, I figured I stuck with it so I'll live with it! It's funny though, as soon as I wash it real good, it seems to rain, then the cats have a field day dancing and sliding leaving mud trails! Tonight I was leaving and one cat was on the roof and looked at me like, WTF! So I said get out of here right meow, had to tell it like 3 times to get off so he slid down the windshield and jumped off!

    The cat was like

Hopefully they're not leaving "tributes" on your front porch. Nothing nastier than going out in the morning and stepping on innards with bare feet.

It's hard to tell if we have cats or a satanic cult in the neighborhood. We woke up last week to a headless rabbit on the back porch and blood splattered all around the patio like a horror movie. I miss my dog.

Spray something citrus scented along the backside of the bumpers, inner fenders, etc and it will week them off. Has to be redone every rain though.

LMAO, a few years back we had a Weiner dog and some stray kittens ventured into our back yard while we were out, when we came home it looked like a slaughter rampage in the back yard, heads and bodies all over, the dog tore them all a new asshole!

It worked for me on a Lightning years ago. Just spray it where they rub up against the bumpers and underside. It took a month or so but he found a new hobby.

My trucks are a safe place for cats, but not safe at all for destructive rodents.
I'll put up with the paw prints as long as the wire chewing rodents go elsewhere.
