Mud flaps?

I want to take mud flaps off for looks, I don’t really off-road but was wondering if it’s a bad idea?

 

I have always removed my mud flaps and never experienced any issues at all

 

That was my first mod when I pulled it into my driveway. The cheapest lift you can get

Mall crawlers don't get rock chips...just sayin................

 

Anytime I see "for looks" I think.........................otherwise...........no offense intended....picking up rocks in a mall....when parking? Seriously? AlCan highway............

 

I'm being a bit sarcastic Ron. Lose flaps...get flares.......looks mucho better......

 

What if you want mud flaps and flares? Asking for a friend

 

Has been done here. A bit of trimming involved. Depends upon which flares you get. Some allow you to maintain OEM flares without any trimming. Some require a few beers and inventiveness....

 

I never follow a truck with no mudflaps. I always feel that these are more likely to hit my hood or windshield with debris. That being said. I had to remove mine when I installed Bushwacker fender flares. Peace. D

I always see these "rock' trucks every time I head up Clear Creek here in CO....sorry for the pun..."always hit or miss"...........

 

I put the flairs on for protection from dirt roads and salt. The only problem flairs will not prevent buildup of dirt like this

This is the the front after i did a thorough wash, still dirt. I have sealed the the rears with silicone and will seal the fronts when i get back home from work someday. If you dont seal the flair the dirt will eventually start the rusting process.

 

Just take off the mud flaps..../thread
