Dealers have ruined more vehicles paint with minimum wage labor. Take it to a reputable Detailer or do it yourself.

Most dealers will send you truck out to have the work done anyway. Just look up a reputable vinyl wrap place in your area. They will do the clear paint protection

Silicone? Sounds like a ripoff. A lot of waterproofing and protective sprays are basically just silicone. I use a silicone spray to protect my fishing reels. Silicone can be an effective rust inhibitor and protective coating, BUT its usually temporary and needs to be applied frequently.

My truck had the Toyota clear paint protection package installed from the factory. It is a thin clear film installed on the complete hood and front of truck where there is paint. Have had no issues so far with it.
