Well I can clearly see I'm not a trend setter with this move hahaha. Trading my 17 TRD sport DCSB taco for an 18 TRD Sport Crewmax short box Tundra in the Grey Magnetic color. I test drove one with the regular stereo but am getting one with the JBL and Nav. I have a boat thats almost 5k and it was legal and within spec with the taco, but it just wasn't meant for that kind of load in my opinion. I was able to hook the boat up and drag it around my neighborhood quick with the tundra and was blown away to say the least. Friday can't get here quick enough.... Anyway I'm sure I will have my head buried in the diy threads until I go blind from reading.

    Welcome to the party!!

.....and as far as the stereo goes, general consensus is the JBL stereo isn't worth the upgrade. I'd wait til you can do a full audio upgrade.

Definitely don't pay more for the JBL. If you can get the truck you want without the JBL then do that. It's easier to upgrade and probably sounds better anyway

Thanks for the replies! It's a bummer to hear about the JBL not being worth it. It totally was on my Taco.
The only thing that truly bums me out is needing to use a key again haha. I haven't had a key for a vehicle since 2011. I'll sure have to read more up on the push button mod if I can't get used to the darn key.

    Oh. Also. Central Minnesota here
