NEW 18 Toyota OEM headlights for $500!!!!

Update: TRS will not give 25% off the 2018 Tundra headlights. They did honor the discount to my purchase since I had paid before they recognized their error in the discount. Please read post below.

Total Retrofit Source sells the OEM 18 headlights for $650 normally. Today I got an email with a 25% off coupon for orders over $300. Coupon code: JULY4TRS25. So I added the 18 headlights to my cart added the coupon and BOOM 25% off! The priority shipping of 2-3 days was $52 for my location. They also offer a cheaper shipping method on the phone of ups ground. I paid $540.32 for everything including shipping!

Understood. I have used TRS for a few years and they have replaced anything that had an issue without any problems. I’ve places my 18 OEM headlights today. So I’ll post some feedback when I get them in.

 

Just got an update email saying the headlights are now on backorder. FML!

Lol. I just got off the phone with them and they said it should ship tomorrow or Wednesday. So I might see it on Friday or early next week.

 

I just tried the Coupon Code to get some better lights for my T4R, and it did not work. It might have been a one use thing.

 

Did you try calling them? The 25% off is for orders over $300. My mistake. Here are the other coupon codes for lesser amounts.

 

Well to anyone wanting to buy from TRS they just sent me an email stating the sale doesn’t include the headlights! I placed my order over the phone with a TRS live Representative. I even called them yesterday after said they were on backorder after they charged my card. They said not to worry they would still ship in a few days. After speaking with two different representatives no one and paying for my order no one said the sale was not applicable to my sale. To receive the following email from them after the fact is not a good form of business! Hoping they will honor my order. If not I will never purchase from TRS again.

 

At least they are trying to work with you.

Horrible customer service. At the very least they need to let this one set to you go for the price you paid. Especially after you had conversations on the phone about it. THIS is what Sean was talking about earlier. They a shady company

 

Yes $650. I get that they are trying to cover the shipping but I should have been told something after I spoke with the first two live representatives. They can see on my payment history I’ve been a customer for a long time and I’ve ordered a lot of products not just on sale either. So to send me an email after I’ve paid saying they want another $109.68 is not cool!

 

Yeah it's not cool at all. Horrible, I get they made a mistake but it's their mistake. They dont get to meet in the middle. I think you can get them from Roman for under 600 shipped just fyi.

 

Spoke with my local Toyota dealer. They can get me the headlights for $600. No shipping cost either. So why would I pay $650 and wait for TRS to ship them to me?

 

That's a great deal. I tried that at my dealer. Showed them quotes from Roman and sparks. They said they couldn't come close. Too bad for them lol.

 

Idk what you can do about TRS any further than what you're doing but it sure would be nice to spread the word about their shady dealings. They have tried many times here to pull a bunch of crap, including flaming iHackers harnesses, which I can't even understand given he's just making these on the side and it's well known his quality surpasses any that I've seen or heard of.

 

I'm suprised that they wont push it through since you did it over the phone. But mistakes happen.....

If you can get them for less locally then cancel the transaction and ask for a discount code for a future purchase.


Side story:
I had something similar happen a week ago. On the Oakley website, they had the Hollbrook (something like that) for $20 (regular price was around $150). I thought i had scored a great deal, but the cancellation email came. I sent back and forth a couple emails about trying to get the glasses i purchased, but ultimately it wasn't going to happen. They sent me a code for 40% off, good through the end of the year. I'm not out anything, and got a promo code that will hopefully work during a sale.

 

Well TRS emailed me back. They have honored their pricing since I’ve already paid for them. They have sent me the tracking number and they should arrive in 2-3 days. I’m very glad they honored their price and appreciate them doing so! Now I can’t wait to get them installed!

I can get them for $600. So this was a little cheaper from TRS. But it became more of wanting them to do the right thing. Which they did do and I’ve very glad they did.

 

Not to get ya too ticked off...what about the set you have at the retrofitters? Did I miss something about that original plan? Was really curious as to what they'd do

 

Yeah that’s a whole other story! My other set of 18s where paid for three months ago and no sight of them yet. Going through my bank to get my money back for fraud from retrofitter. Haven’t seen any pics of them and I just keep getting excuses of more delays. The original timeline was 4-6 weeks for them to be done.
