I went to install LEDs in the front flashers with resistors. Driver side tested out fine. Left side came on but then all flashers stopped. Putting the stock bulbs back in (without resistors) didn't help. The DRLs come on but all flasher function in gone. anyone else had this issue? Sounds like I might need a new flasher? Anyone have any suggestions?

It pisses me off that with everything in the world going LED that Toyota makes it this hard to put LEDs on the vehicles. At least before you could replace the flasher relay and everything worked perfectly. Why mess up a good thing??

Unless there's another fuse for the flashers/signal other than the 25 amp one under the hood, then no.

Can't believe 3 posts in and no one has suggested blinker fluid could be low and needs to be refilled.

First of all, check the turn signal socket, you can remove and inspect terminals for any rust or dirt in it, it happened to a friend and we cleaned out all the terminals and covered with dielectric grease and turn signals worked out perfectly.

Flasher seems to be ok since your driver side is working.

I have seen similar problems at work and same cause.

No, the driver side is not working. No flasher function at all on either side. No turn signals, no hazard flashers. Sockets are all good. The DRL part of the factory bulb comes on but flasher part does not. There's not even a flasher sound in the cab.

Ohhh ok, if all your fuses look ok problem is a flasher malfunction then :(

    Thanks for your reply.

Are there any other fuses besides the one under the hood that could affect it? the only one I saw was the 25 amp one under the hood labeled "signal/flasher".

replace / open & inspect flasher relay under dash
should be the same in 3rd gen. pic here

    http://www.tundratalk.net/forums/tu...ed-turn-signals.html#/topics/120417?_k=qjgisg

also, sometimes just giving it some time might help, and test again with proper bulbs.

there are so many threads, on multiple tundra sites, regarding DTRL and signal replacement with LEDs. It is not as simple as P&P due to the way toyota wired the DTRL. you need a switchback kit or at a minimum, depin DTRL in the cab to avoid back feeding the circuit.

Yeah I'm very familiar with this thread. I was hoping to avoid getting under there because it's not a place for big fellas....but I guess I gotta. But even if I had just used P & P then I would've had hyper flash. I didn't wanna use resistors but since Toyota made it hard I went that route. And it didn't work. This will definitely be the last Lexus/Toyota I'll buy if they can't pull their heads outta their rears. At least before you could just replace the relay.

Resistors alone won’t resolve it. You need to separate the circuits, like w the vled triton switchback things. I’m hoping when you go back to ur truck they’ll be working again. But I would start at the flasher relay if they aren’t.
