    I drive 40+ miles per day, thought about adding a cold air intake to my 07 CrewMax to help with mpg. Any suggestions?

    Yep driving like gramps seems to be the only real way of improving gas mileage, if you already do then I guess you’re shit out of luck buy a Prius lol. Must of the things we do to the truck hurts mpg

    I promise you all Using shit gas will give you shit results. Clean your throttle bodies out. Air box, TRD air filter upgrade, TRD Air Accellerator upgrade for $16 and do several tank treatment with 93 octane and A DAMN GOOD FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER. Get up on the highway and blow that shit gas the hell outta your truck and it will eventually clean your injectors, intake,valves, plugs and other parts. Also
    Tire pressure is a must.

    when I used to have a super early commute with barely any traffic, I could squeeze mid-18's consistently out of my old 5.7 2wd

    driving technique and composition of your daily commute (highway vs stop and go) will be the biggest factors, the only part I think that would make any real difference would be tires

    When I went shopping and did my research for my CM tundra I specifically wanted a 4.6 for the mpg. Coming from a 2015 2.7 4cyl Tacoma then to a 2016 4.0 v6 4Runner and now to a 2016 4.6 v8 tundra I really kept my priority on fuel economy and couldn’t justify the 5.7. I’m really happy with my truck, I don’t tow and it’s just a family car for me. I find it has plenty of power for what I need and averaging 17mpg.

    I don’t even look at my mpg anyMore.. I checked it for the upgraded Gears and what not but that’s about it.. our trucks suck on gas. It is what it is and just forget about it.. 1mpg Gains is not going to change your life style.. forget it!!

    I will never DD a truck again for the rest of my life. I had forgotten what it’s like to have something quick in traffic, good on fuel, easy to park, etc.

    Only down side is I’ve been getting flat spots on my tires on the truck. Go figure.

    That will most likely be both of my daughters first vehicle. Get one the color they choose, and it should last them through HS, Military or College and then into the ass kicking life hands out.

    The Lexus does pretty good for what it is.....25-28 mpg, but on premium fuel. Screw it, I can afford the gas and haulin' ass. Tires though.....damn.

    word... if I ever had crazy commutes (~100+ miles daily) I'd get a Miata or 86. My daily commute is in the 40s and not bad at all with the truck.

    Mine always says “traction control off” after I get started... can’t really see the MPG display... strange how that works out :D
