Seat Covers

Ok, i really hope this is not a lame question. I am in the market for a good quality seat cover but i want to know.....do the covers go directly over the seat as is, or do you take off the original toyota seat covers first? Also, any recommendations are welcome. I mainly want something for water and sweat. Thanks all.

 

Seat covers should go over existing seat cover. You don't want to mess with the original cover.

 

I use wet okoles for water and sweat (although covers make you sweat a bit because they don't breathe). They go over the existing upholstery.

I did waterproof covercraft seat savers in mine.

 

I prefer the cloth over leather but if I ever get tired of cloth I’m doing these.

Better to use a cloth cover. Prevents swampass.

Ya, i have always had leather as well but was not at all disappointed when my SR5 came with cloth. I go to the lake a lot and always have a wet butt, i got tired of putting a towel down so i thought why not seat covers?

 

Where did you get those? Did they come stitched with TRD?

Clazzios here. With Katskins you have to remove OEM fabric. I like these a lot better then the cloth ones I had in Tacoma
