2016 Tundra Limited AMP power boards

Hello, Im having AMP power steps installed on my 2016 limited, I think I'm getting a bit of BS from the installer. Any info provided on the subject would be much appreciated.

My Vehicle has been at the shop for nearly 5 days today. I had a 3-1 lift level installed(completed), as well as the power steps, however, today I called the shop and inquired on the hold up. I was told that due to my trucks skid plate an adapter or something had to be ordered and was reinstalled Saturday , then i was told that the plug N play harness was missing out of the Amp step box and so there was a further delay on job completion
( Missing Part, i questioned if it was a new order, or one that may have ben hanging around the shop, someones return?) i was informed that they are now waiting for the plug n play harness "foot in their" mouth as the guy explains further by saying the middle person may have had it in stock and it may have been an open box .. Shop had also attempted to hard wire it and it wouldn't work so he called Amp being it all sounds like Horse Poo I've asked that a hole new item be ordered and the current one removed entirely. Know i want to see the order invoice.
So who can shed some light on the Amp power steps for a 2016 limited so that i don't get someone trying to bamboozle me further, Someone educate me on this a I'd like to give them the opportunity to do good by me but I'm getting pretty irritated and its just not me to not just go pick up my baby in the morning.
