Is this a good deal on this barebones Tundra?

Looking at a new 2018 Tundra, CrewMax 5.7L SR5 4WD. Completely bare bones, no SR5 upgrade, no TRD, no extra accessories. I like it like that especially because I want to put my own aftermarket mods, and I like the bench seating instead of buckets.

Dealership quoted $36500- is this a good deal for this vehicle?

I got my 2018 Tundra Trd Sport for 38500, has nav, upgraded audio, bed rail kit, and the ever important TRD shift handle.

That price seems way high for a bare bones Tundra

What price would seem fair to you for bare bones?

    Not sure?
I like the TRD packages, my previous 2 were TRD ( one was a limited)

    Where are you located?
Think that may be a huge factor!?!

What do you find most useful about the TRD?

    I don’t think that’s a bad price for a 4wd CM....

Exactly...and it does depend your location as far as price. Bare bones is GOOD! DIY! Do it your way. Why spend thousands $$ more for crap you don't want. You clearly want a truck...not a nanny ride!

No, completely bare bones. I wanted the bench seats (we have big family), which I would lose with the 38 gallon tank.

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
I thought the 38 gal was the smallest you could get at 2016 and up.

If you don't get the SR5 package, the tank is 26 gal.

I don't think that's bad. There are very few Tundras I have seen in SC for that price, new.

Just a heads up on the bench seat, it sucks.

There is a huge raised portion of the floorboard right in the middle area making it a very uncomfortable ride for someone who has legs. You also lose out on all the storage that the big middle console provides. And last but certainly not least, you can't upgrade to a kickass TRD shifter.

You’re thinking of the pro. He’s talking TRD sport or TRD off-road.

    Agreed.

Also, I wouldn’t really consider that bare bones. It’s a 4x4 crew max SR5. The “grade” ones are the bare bones.

    Seems like a decent price.
