There have been some with issues with the TSS system, but I've seen as many people with completely stock vehicles running into problems as with lifted/leveled trucks. They all seem to be getting resolved as well. The lift/level seemed like a scapegoat to me.

Even if there was an underlying issue, I believe the aftermarket market would have come up with a solution (see 2018 headlight wiring harness). It's not like there's never going to be a lifted Tundra from year 18 forward...

I have the navigation via phone as well. The complaint seems thin though. I've been disappointed with the consistency of mine connecting, but it was a bonus anyway. If I had wanted a real navigation, I would have bought a higher trim.

The tire thing sounds like a freak incident - right angle, right pressure, right speed, etc - I'd doubt you could replicate the result.

You guy's with the 2018s... your nav runs off of your phone? I was told when I bought mine that it is completely independent from the phone. I specifically asked about this. No data or subscription required. Just a separate, self-contained nav system in the truck. Mine's only an SR5. Was I misinformed?

EDIT: Never mind, I just watched the damn video. I deduced that I must have a completely different version of enTune than he does. Even my dash buttons around the screen are in different places. My nav is built in and does not require the use of a phone app.

By the way, that video was so painful. Ugh.

Phone is best because Google Maps ETA is based on live traffic and delays, alternative routes will be listed as necessary. If Waze, p2p reported accidents, radar traps etc. The only thing is they use mobile data and you need tower reception.

So the guy went off roading in the desert looking for a parking space and got a flat. What a puss.

I have heard of issues, but I don’t believe its related to having the truck lifted or not. A buddy of mine has no lift and his intermittently has issues. I have 6k miles on my 2018 and a 4” lift with no issues. Only issue was a-hole shop that put the lift on-but that’s not related to this.

They say lifting causes issues with it, buuuuutttt... dealers here have lifted 18s on the lots so I call bs. Both Cavenders and are McCombs(both large dealers here in Texas) have them and I think San Marcos Toyota does as well.

I think we should create a fund to rescue this truck from it’s owner.
