Big Advancement for me!

As most of you know, im a Junior in highschool and because of this my truck build is super slow. Well, this summer thats all gonna change. Im in Construction Careers Academy, and i currently have all the knowledge i need to be an apprentice electrician! At the age of 17!

I think i would like to stay residential, but am also well aware of the amount of money to be made in commercial and industrial, i have also been in contact with CPS... also a way bigger safety concern , more money = more danger since the voltages you’re working with go up

 

Congrats! Pick what you like to do and try to be the best at it.

That too! My dad was an electrician out in the oil fields, lots of routes to consider ...

 

College isn't for everyone, but if you managed to combine a business education with a skilled trade, you could build a f'ing empire.

 

My uncle has made commercial a monstrous career, including being able to retire off of his latest project....a 3 year project creating a Ritz Carlton in Hawaii

 

There is going to be a huge inflow of highly educated people with no experience (in reality there already is). There will be high demand for skilled labor.

Congrats Matt, that's awesome. My good buddy is a residential electrician. He raised 2 great kids, his son with sole custody. Now, at 53, he's retiring and sailing off into the sunset on his 42' sailboat.

 

Oh yes of course, i will be saving more than ill be spending, and ive also worked into an easy way to build my credit that i will be doing. I also will be helping my family with bills and essentials

The construction industry is struggling to find great people. Heck, with what they're paying now, i'm tempted to go back into the HVAC field. Those triple digit temperatures are upon us.

 

I fixed that title, as it did make it seem like i was just going to blow through money instead of having a plan.
