My tire pressure light recently came on. The tire shop said two of my sensors have dead batteries. They also quoted me 140 dollars per sensor.

Does anyone know if the sensors that are included with these factory wheels ( picture included) are a 20 degree or 40 degree sensor ? Or does it even matter ?

The sensors that I currently have were removed from my stock wheels (IMAG00061.jpg picture included) back in 2014.

If someone can answer this question, I might be able to figure out which sensor I need.

In the picture above, are those steel or allow wheels ?

perfect thanks ! I thought so, just wanted some confirmation. General info, 20 degree for the allow and 40 degree for the steel tpms sensors.. in case anyone else wants to know.

Try your dealer for the sensors too. I paid $65 CAD for my last one.

That said, does your TPMS light flash for the first minute, then go steady? Or just on steady?

    On steady.

Sorry my mistake, I double checked and it's flashing then goes steady.

Did you check the pressures yourself? I don’t think any Tundras use a sensor in the spare, but take a look at it too.

Ok, that makes sense. The light will flash for the first bit when there is a malfunction, such as failed sensor(s).

Just stready on means low pressure.

Just thought I smelled a rat with the story from your tire guy, seems odd that two sensors are gone. Light been on for a while?

The light just came on today. but it's weird because the LR sensor was replaced 2 weeks ago due to being damaged when they were putting a patch in due to a nail..Do you think it could be simply programming ?

2 weeks does not make sense unless you rarely drive it.

Sounds like a warranty issue for that one sensor.

That price for sensors is high. Costco has them for around $45. I got some from a wheel shop for $20 each that came from a 2017 Tundra.

    No, not on these ones.

By far, my local dealer did have the best price, which is surprising considering the discounts I have access to through my work. It did cost me $1300 for installation, thankfully that price included 4 new tires mounted and balanced. :)
