Dealer mess up

I've been getting all the numbers together for a TRD sport and the dealer calls and lets me know that a $2000 rebate that was applied during this whole process was supposed to be for a TSS. I'm not crazy for thinking that since they marked it at said price that they should honor it?

 

That is correct. They should honor it. Talk to the GM . . .

 

If they want the sale they should honor it.

And what's crazier is my girlfriend is getting an 18 camry with my truck. And they want to bring up $2000 that they messed up on. Willing to mess up two vehicle sales.

This sounds all too familiar.

 

You’d be surprised. I bought my first Tundra and my wife’s Sequoia the same week. The first dealership’s douchebaggery made me buy the Sequoia elsewhere. Also got my current Tundra at the second place, so they lost out on two sales.

 

Well I'm currently waiting on their answer. Told them it was no deal if they didn't make it right

 

Go to a bigger volume dealer with your original price and you will get both cars. Thats what I did. One dealer called me with a price and when I went there they wanted more ... I went to a much bigger dealer next day and ended up buying same car with 3 additional upgrades for the same price. One of the "free" upgrades which I did not originally wanted was a TRD dual exhaust ... but I like it now
No matter what, they don't lose money!

 

I bet they will honor it without loosing 2 sales!

 

Stick to your position and mention that this deal is still pending with you. Your the one with the money and all they have is a product that they must get rid of to separate you from your money.

 

They honored it. Didn't want to lose two car sales. Got me an 18 TRD sport and an 18 camry XSE with the 300 go v6. Vroom vroom haha. Very pleased with these vehicles
