That is a tough call man. I'm in the same shoes hence the reason I did not buy a Tundra yet (almost did a couple of months ago). We had the baby.. wife switched to super part time (one day a week) and now we are thinking that wife will become stay at home mom. So, I will be the sole provider.... with a mortgage.. in DC area. Yeah it sucks. I figure I'll wait and see how it plays out for few months and then maybe I'll get the 2019 TRDP if I can afford it.

In the end though.. gotta agree with @Corndog ... having my wife stay home and raise my kids instead of daycare is worth way more than a truck.

    Good luck man.

I'm not a huge help in the insurance/financial end of things but I will say that I love my low mileage 2005 double cab and lack of a truck payment. As much as I'd love a 2014+, I can't justify the monthly cash outlay.

A 500$ payment a month is only 16$ a day. You spend that with out even thinking about it each day. Keep the truck and just tighten up your daily spending. Lol I would say get a 2nd gen like me but you would be spending so much on mods to make it look like that 2018!
