Bed Plugs and Bed liners

I missing 1 bed plug, i think i have a good PN (47419-0c010) found this PN online anyone
know a source to buy from? Whats the pros and cons of bed liners? What do you guys have
and why. Have looked at spray in/ roll on type and also like the weathertech liner which is
around $250. This is the best site that i know of for good advice so tell me what ya think guys.

Many on here do not like Liners, and most of those worry about bed rust over time - water trapped between liner and bed = possible corrosion. There have been pics on here with severe bed rust under the liner. I recently pulled mine (2007) and found Zero rust. Have also heard about applying a protectant on bed from time to time, something I have not done. Ours came with one, do not see a need to change at this time.

Many really like the spray-ins, they do look nice but do not prevent any denting a liner might. Cargo shouldn't slide around as much vs. liner (Textured surface vs. slick plastic). There are a few choices with different prices.

Trends seem to be less liners and more spray-ins. To each their own.

 

I have very little experience to offer, but I'd like to contribute as much as I can. So with that caveat, my three thoughts:

1) Mine came with a Tuff Skin spray-in liner in it, so that decision was made for me. It seems pretty awesome as far as I can tell.

2) It looks so clean and blemish free that I felt like protecting it, and my knees, with a rubber pad, so I got this one for about $80.

...which is now only $74. Nuts. Also note: that link is for a 1st gen Tundra, but I assume they make them for others. Thoughts on it so far: it seems very heavy-duty and I feel like it does what I want, for a reasonable price. It is designed exactly for the contours of my truck bed, which is nice, but it's not perfect - between the wheel wells and the tailgate is a few mm too tight, and around the wheel wells is a tad loose, but no big deal - and while their mold was for a 1st gen Tundra, it looks like it was cut from the material sheet by hand, and there are a few places where the knife slipped or something. In short, it gets the job done and in a few months of using it the tiny errors won't be noticeable, but it's not super perfect. I can take some photos of it if you want.

3) Everyone I actually know around here with Toyotas (albeit mostly Tacomas) has and loves their Bedrug. Sadly Bedrug doesn't seem to make one for a 1st gen. :-(
