    I had mine sprayed with bedliner and removed the mesh on the front...I believe it makes a world of difference.

    Yea I took the mesh off the one on my F150 too. The black paint from the factory flaked quickly. Might look into the bedliner route as well!

    Here it is on my old truck before I removed the mesh insert
