Anyone have any recommendations or advice on a kayak trailer. We have three kayaks to transport along with fishing gear, paddles and other items. We were looking into a bed rack until we added a third kayak.

Basically looking for any tips. We have 2 kayaks that are sit on tops, 12 ft long and 90 lbs each, third kayak is 9th and 50 lbs.

    Thanks

I don't have any experience with kayak specific trailers other than I had a friend that bought one for <$900 with the intent of hauling two kayaks to Colorado only to find out it had bushings and collars on a straight shaft like a lawn cart instead of bearings/spindles. Came apart fairly quickly.
I have hauled my kayaks and motorcycles all over the country on a 5X10 utility trailer with 15" wheels and 3500lb axle, It was an M&M for $1k.
    Similar to this.

I added bearing buddies for convenience. You can make a heck of a kayak rack to mount on it for a couple hundred bucks. The rear gate can be laid forward or removed.

We transport 3 on our rack. Rolo was inexpensive and works great for us. 2 on the outside on J hooks with the other one in the middle of the J hooks.
I know it is not the answer to the question, just sharing what we do.

Thanks much. We wanted to do a rack but I would have to take off the kayak attachments to park in the garage, not real convenient. We have a shed I can store the trailer with kayaks attached in.

The trailer I found was a Magneta trailer. They have proper bearings, 3500lb axle and 1200lb leaf spring.
