3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
I bought my Tundra used this spring with 55000 miles on it. How offen should I change the oil, use to be 3000 miles, but some say 3000-5000 but then I saw 10k 15k. I am using Mobil one. (And now the offer Mobil one Annual protection that might be pushing it a bit.) also if you change it at 10k miles seen something online that said may need to add oil over the 10kis that true (may doesn’t leak any)

I’m fairly certain it’s every 5k miles. However, if you’re using synthetic you could push 7k-10k. For me, I change mine every 5k just for peace of mind.

Adam, do you like MObil 1 better than Toyota synthetic? Why? Thanks.

I changed oil at 1200 miles as my 18 limited is new. I put in Mobil 1 advanced. I plan to change every 5 K or 1 year, as it’s not my only ride. The 2 year maintenance will do every 10K or year.

I recycle my oil, so I have no problem with using fresh oil. The cost of oil is cheap compared to a new engine imo.

When I bought my Tundra used at a Honda dealership :spy:, I went straight to a Toyota dealership and they told me they put Mobil-1 in thers vehicles that come in for service, they said it good quality oil, a mechanic friend of mine uses it in all his vehicles swears by it,

I’m considering switching from Toyota branded synthetic to the Mobile 1 synthetic. Ive heard really good things about it.

Also, Royal Purple. I have heard that’s the best stuff but I have no idea. You can’t always believe what you hear

I've heard good things about RP too, also there was a thread on here about filters, some members were praising WIX filters

I’ll look into WIX, but I like the Toyota filters so far. Thanks for the info.

Toyota specs a 10k Interval, I did my first change early at 5k and then started a 10k interval. I'm using Mobil 1 synthetic and a Toyota OEM filter in mine.

Toyota/Lexus oil is rebranded Mobil (standard synthetic, not economy, high mileage, etc)

Change oil every 5K (which is mandatory if you have FFE). Just have Toyota do it, it is about $70.00 and you get an OEM filter, 2 GL of Mobil 1, they check all your other fluids, rotate your tires and you don't have a mess......hard to beat. Oil changes are cheap and the most important thing you can do to prolong the lif of your engine.

Hope and pray that they dont over tighten your filter cap like several of us have experienced.

I had spine surgery about 6 months ago, have not regain all my movement yet. C5 in my not neck has been removed, recovery will be about another year. After a 17 hour surgery anything is better. I can’t even loosen or tighten much yet . Too much for my neck. Or I would do it myself.
I have fusion 3 levels in the front, and a full cage in the back over 6 levels. I can do a lot now but limited movement, and lift about 25 lbs. hoping I can start exercising my neck in about 6 months. Can’t wait to go back to work. (Funny thing is I have bought a lot of things for my Tundra, but keep forgetting I can’t install anything yet) by myself.

I’m able to understand well what you have gone through. I had a vertebra removed and my back fused all the way down into my hips. Do what you can and stay as active as possible but let nobody push you past what you’re able to comfortably do. I installed my sliders alone but it took me 2 days. I expect my first oil change will take all day.

That’s some serious hardware guys. Best of healing to you all. I hit a horse one morning at 4:30am a couple of years ago, several got loose and ran out I front of me while doing 40 mph. Took a chunk out of one, totaled my motorcycle, BMW 12GS, but my gear saved my life, albeit 9 days in hospital with 4 broken ribs, self healed spleen, partial detached lung. I feel quite safe in my Tundra for sure.
