So talking a 2000 2 wheel drive Tundra...........After the first attempt with a new wheel bearing, and dealing with the ring nut that holds it all together...............well 8,000 miles later, not so good. The ring nut would not go on all the way, we're talking .002" if that, but tolerance matters in this case. So Plan B : I could spend some money and buy a new hub with ring nut and my preferred bearing from Timkin for around $ 150 or more plus the labor involved. Sooooo Plan B: Since it is very difficult to find a 2 wheel drive Tundra in the junk yard....I went with a 4 x 4 steering knuckle with axle shaft for $55. I went by the feel of the bearing and went for it........soooo some modifications later, and after a test drive........Success!!!!
