First off I’d like to say that this site is totally amazing…tons and tons of helpful information from awesome members. I’ve spent countless hours reading sticky threads and posts ever since I purchased my Tundra last summer.

So…here is my situation. I’m looking to lift my truck anywhere from 3-5”. I plan on running either 35/12.5/18 or 295/70/18 tires (either Discoverer STT Pro or Nitto Ridge Grappler) on a +18mm offset wheel.

I’m looking for a quality setup that isn't too cheap or too expensive (around $3K) but also one that’ll be durable enough to last many years to come. I want to do it right the first time while not adding and removing parts in the near future. I don’t plan on off-roading much, a few gravel/rocky roads here and there, but definitely no rock crawling or anything serious. I also won’t be hauling any large loads or trailers. Ideally I’d like the new setup to ride the same or if possible better than stock.

Here are the 2 options that I have come up with so far:

    1. Zone Offroad 5” kit with rear Fox Adventure shocks and SPC UCA’s

    2. Toytec Radflo 3” complete kit and SPC UCA’s

Any thoughts, ideas, or feedback is greatly accepted…thanks!

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
Deaver k37 leaf pack with some nice 2.5 rears will give you a very nice ride but you'd be committing to not hauling a lot of weight and not towing heavy loads. You could add airbags later if you had to for the heavier loads. I think you can get a nice King set up for around 3k but the K37 pack puts you over the top.

831Tun.....Initially I thought about doing the King set up but changed my mind. It’s just a tad bit out of my price range and I don’t care much for the blue color (I know…that’s pretty anal). I do like the idea of new leaf springs compared to using blocks or shackles.

fisherman951.....How do you like the Zone Offroad kit? Does it ride comparable to stock? Any rubbing or trimming involved with your 295/70/18 setup?

Sean266.....Would I be better off getting the BOSS or RADFLO setup? Can I get those with silver coils? Or am I better off getting an Icon stage 2 or 3?

I would like to run the tire/wheel setup that I mentioned but there are just so many options out there and it’s challenging to narrow it down.

Everyone will till you what they have. If you Offroad tow or hunting go for 3” If you don’t Offroad or tow heavy just want look cool go for Zone 5 but you have to cut your crossmeber. Just want to get your a idea this is my BDS 4.5 With 35/12.50r20 20x9 +1 offset with 75k M on this lift 0 issues ( now with the ICON coilover so I can setup 4.5-7.5” any where if i wants) I have ICON stages 4 before install my bds, bds hands down!
But your money go for what you like..good luck.FC46C4D1-330E-4A05-8261-13FFB14AB6B4.jpg647393F1-C7FA-4921-BC9F-22080E162750.jpg

It’s been maybe 2-3 years and no issues. That said, it’s up to you to decide where it should be. It’s not recommended to go above factory specs.

I’m definitely digging the looks of both the Boss setup and Offroad/BDS setup.

However with Offroad/BDS, I’m not too keen on having the crossmember cut. Also I don’t know if I’m gonna like having 3” blocks in the rear. What would be a better option for the blocks?

I see that the Boss setup uses 700# coils. Will the ride be fairly stiff or am I better off with the Radflo 2.0 setup that uses 600# coils?

Those STT Pro’s look pretty sweet…I’ve read and heard good things about them!

3” block? Yuck. With the BOSS (or Radflo) there’s no need to cut your crossmember (voids frame warranty)

If you don’t want the block on the above two lifts, get the @ToyTec Lifts shackles.

    Thanks for the Tag @Sean266

We have a TON of different options here at Toytec that will fit your needs perfectly!

So I see you are looking at a few different options that go from one side to the other (drop bracket to performance style)

What are your overall goals with the Tundra? How much offroading are you going to be doing?

Sounds like I should contact Toytec first to see what option would work best. I used them 13 years ago for my 04 tacoma and was pleased with the outcome. Never had a problem with that setup. It was tough for me to sell that truck recently but everything worked out perfect...thank goodness for Tundra's!

How do you get the boss kit cranked to 4? do you add their 1 inch spacer on top of the new coils?
